Iran has deployed new missile facilities near the Strait of Hormuz.
Jin10 data reported on March 23 that Iranian state media reported on the 22nd that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran showcased new missile facilities deployed on three islands in the Persian Gulf, stating that the potential strike targets of these weapons are “enemy bases, ships, and assets” in the nearby region. According to the Tasnim News Agency of Iran, these missile systems are deployed on the strategically significant Greater Tunb Island, Lesser Tunb Island, and Abu Musa Island. These three islands are located near the maritime shipping route of the Strait of Hormuz, which is currently controlled by Iran, while the United Arab Emirates has also declared sovereignty over the three islands. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps recently held military exercises in the nearby waters.
