IEA: New U.S. sanctions could seriously disrupt Russia's oil supply

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA)'s monthly oil market report released on January 15th, the latest round of sanctions imposed by the United States on Russian oil last Friday may severely disrupt Russia's oil supply and distribution chain. Due to the uncertainty of the comprehensive impact of the new sanctions, the agency maintains its supply forecasts for Russia and Iran this month unchanged. However, it indicates that Washington's measures may tighten the balance between crude oil and fuel supply and demand.
