On October 25, Jinshi data reported that Qingshan Group sold all its shares in the Argentine lithium salt project to its cooperation partner, Eramet, less than three years after investing in the project. Eramet announced on October 24 local time that it would repurchase Qingshan Group’s 49.9% stake in its Argentine subsidiary Eramine and pay $699 million (approximately 4.97 billion RMB) in cash. The transaction was completed on the same day, and Eramet now holds 100% of Eramine’s shares. Eramine holds mining rights for the Centenario and Arizaro lithium salt lake projects in Argentina, which are among the most attractive lithium salt deposits in the South American lithium triangle. The combined resource of the two lithium salt lake projects is approximately 15 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent.
