Wildfires in New Mexico, USA, have led to the evacuation of thousands in a town

On the evening of June 17, local time, multiple wildfires broke out near Ruidoso, New Mexico, USA, posing a ‘life-threatening’ situation. Nearly 8,000 people in the town were evacuated. It is reported that one of the wildfires that started in the morning continued to burn for more than 12 hours and is currently out of control. The affected area has exceeded 4,500 acres (about 18.2 square kilometers).
