According to MoneyToday, South Korea's KOSPI index surged 3.76% to 6,598.26 today (August 5), driven by foreign investors' net purchases of 1.43 trillion won. The KOSDAQ index also rose 2.42% to 799.59. Major semiconductor stocks led the gains, with Samsung Electronics up 2.5% and SK Hynix climbing 5.77%, as AI investment sentiment rebounded following strength in U.S. semiconductor shares.
