China leads the global wave of humanoid robot manufacturing

According to a new report from Omdia, China is becoming the main driving force behind the global expansion of humanoid robots. In 2025, the shipment of multi-purpose intelligent robots has increased nearly sixfold, clearly reflecting China's advantages in manufacturing scale and tightly coordinated industrial strategies.

Although American companies like Boston Dynamics, Tesla, Figure, and Agility are prominent in technology and operational capabilities, they still face difficulties in rapidly scaling production to keep up with China's manufacturing pace.

By the end of 2025, humanoid robots will have transitioned from the testing phase to large-scale pilot production, combining China's mass production with AI innovation from the US. Advances in artificial intelligence, flexible robot arms, and autonomous learning are accelerating practical applications. Omdia forecasts that the global humanoid robot market will double each year, reaching 2.6 million units by 2035, signaling a major shift in the global robotics industry, in line with reports from Xinhua.
