Jump Crypto collaborates with Aptos Labs to jointly develop the decentralized storage protocol Shelby, which debuted at Aptos Experience 2025.

According to Mars Finance news on October 17, Jump Crypto and the Aptos Labs engineering team jointly announced at the Aptos ecosystem conference Atlas Experience 2025 event that their co-developed high-performance decentralized hot storage protocol Shelby, the world's first aimed at production-level applications, has officially launched on DevNet. The Aptos network acts as a “coordination layer,” with Shelby's smart contracts deployed on Aptos to manage the economic logic of the system. This protocol breaks through the bottlenecks of traditional decentralized storage and has the following core advantages: · Performance on par with Web2 cloud services: Achieving millisecond-level data retrieval through an architecture specifically designed for hot storage, meeting the needs of read-intensive applications such as streaming and AI training; · Costs lower than centralized cloud storage: The innovative economic model shows that a single data retrieval can achieve cost parity with traditional cloud services like AWS; · Integrated complete developer suite: Simultaneously releasing APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and file managers, supporting advanced functions such as data encryption, token gating, and paid unlocking; · Underlying network breakthroughs: Relying on the dedicated fiber network Double Zero built by Jump, solving public internet latency and jitter issues, providing foundational support for high-performance storage.
