Trump says, “ceasefire is over, but talks continue,” in plain language: fighting while negotiating.

Don’t rush in yet to snipe bargains.

Yesterday, Trump posted a line on TruthSocial—just one sentence that left the market baffled:

“Iran is asking the U.S. to keep ‘negotiating,’ and the U.S. has agreed. But the ceasefire is already over.”

No one flipped the table, but the chair was already kicked over.

Once the news hit, oil prices first dropped and then bounced; Bitcoin jumped 1.55%; and across the whole market, more than $200 million in liquidations were triggered.

What is the market betting on? Betting on “fighting while negotiating.”

But what I want to tell you is this: for crypto, this kind of setup is possibly the most uncomfortable.

Let’s go through the script.

On July 7, Iran attacked three merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz, citing that “these ships did not take the shipping lanes set by Iran.” Within two days, the U.S. launched four to five times the scale of airstrikes in retaliation. Then when Trump went to the NATO summit, he said, “the memo is dead.”

The next day, Iran privately passed a message: “The ones firing on ships are the hardliners—the wrong faction. It was a mistake.”

The U.S. then moved to set conditions: Iran must publicly declare that Hormuz remains open and commit to stopping attacks on merchant ships. Meanwhile, Qatar’s representative has already flown to Tehran to continue mediating.

So the current situation is—

U.S. forces are still bombing, while negotiating envoys are still flying.

This isn’t a split personality. It’s called “pushing for talks through fighting.”

So what does this mean for the crypto market?

If you think “continuing negotiations” equals a “positive catalyst,” you might not have understood the board.

The Federal Reserve’s half-year report directly named it: the uncertainty brought by the Iran war remains one of the main risks facing the U.S. economy.

Those three words—“uncertainty”—are the ones Wall Street hates most, and the ones risk assets fear the most.

When the situation is “ceasefire is over but no full-scale war”—oil prices won’t collapse, inflation expectations won’t fall, and the Federal Reserve won’t dare to ease.

In this script, Bitcoin can neither get the “safe-haven premium,” nor get the “liquidity-relief” boost.

See what I mean—doesn’t it feel like the most suffocating scenario?

On the other hand, if talks blow up next week, oil prices could fly higher, inflation expectations could return with a vengeance, and risk assets would keep coming under pressure. If talks succeed, oil prices may pull back—but Trump can always come back with, “ceasefire is over.”

This isn’t a positive catalyst. It’s the sword of Damocles hanging overhead.

As for oil prices, straight talk:

On Friday, WTI closed at $71.41, Brent at $76.01, and this week is still up nearly 4%.

But what the market fears most right now isn’t oil itself—it’s “routine friction in the Strait of Hormuz.” As long as you don’t know whether tomorrow’s lanes will be closed, shipping companies will buy war risk insurance, refineries will stock up on inventory, and oil prices will have a floor.

Once oil prices have a floor, inflation has a floor too. With inflation having a floor, the Federal Reserve won’t be in a rush.

Bitcoin has never had good days in an environment where “the Federal Reserve isn’t in a hurry.”

“The market’s biggest fear right now isn’t war, isn’t peace, but ‘uncertainty’—and Trump just stamped ‘uncertainty’ across the sky over the Middle East.”

Don’t get carried away by the words “talks continue.” The longer this kind of negotiation drags on, the less likely funds will enter in a big way. Because no one knows what Trump’s TruthSocial will post tomorrow. #美股AI概念股普涨 #美伊战争阴云再起 #SK海力士ADR指导价149美元 $BTC $BZ $CL

Although I still have a tiny bit of hope for the Meme narrative, to be serious, I think Meme aesthetics have already been played out. There are about 50,000 Meme trades across all the chains in the market combined! They cover every angle—charity, burns, celebrities, humor, animals, and more… everything you can think of and even things you can’t. Everyone really has aesthetic fatigue too. To be honest, I’m still more looking forward to the new narratives in the crypto space.

The U.S. crypto market structure bill is moving closer to becoming law.
If the current timeline holds, the Senate could vote in mid-to-late July, followed by rapid House reconciliation and a presidential signature before the August recess.
Regulatory clarity has been one of crypto's biggest missing pieces. If this bill passes, it could mark a major milestone for institutional adoption, innovation, and long-term market confidence.

That Nasdaq company that was aggressively buying Bitcoin like crazy has just sold off half of its holdings.

Don’t blink—this news is more intense than you think.

Just a few days ago, Empery Digital was sweeping up 1,200 BTC in a week, acting as high-profile as a coin-hoarding poster child.

But last night, an SEC filing slapped that image straight in the face: since May, the company has quietly sold 1,400 BTC, at an average price of about $62,200, cashing out $87.1 million.

48% of its holdings—sold, just like that.

How fast was the move? It was still buying in May, but in July it cut the position in half. In less than two months, the whole tone flipped 180 degrees. The decisions of a listed company can turn faster than many retail investors changing their minds overnight.

But what truly chills me is the reason it sold its coins.

What are they doing with the money?

$65 million goes into an AI data center project.

The rest—$10 million to repay debts, and some of it to fill the gaps in litigation-fee shortfalls.

A company that propped up its stock price with a “Bitcoin treasury strategy” is now cutting its BTC holdings to chase the AI boom.

This isn’t ordinary rebalancing—it’s a strategic pivot.

Even more unsettling is that the entire “coin-hoarding camp” appears to be cracking.

In Hong Kong stocks, Boyaa Interactive: bought 108 BTC on dips, bringing total holdings to 4,201 BTC.

What about Tether? That reserve address that uses 15% of profits to buy BTC at the end of each quarter—more than ten days after the second quarter ended, and so far there’s been no new BTC inflow on-chain. The add-on purchases appear to be paused.

And Strategy? It rolled out a $1.25 billion “Bitcoin monetization plan”—basically preparing to sell BTC, to support preferred stock repurchases and replenish cash reserves.

At the same time, across three directions:

Some are running

Some are stopping

Some are charging

The words “coin-hoarders” now look like a joke.

The real soul-searching question is:

“When the most loyal coin-hoarders start to waver, is it an opportunity—or the beginning of a collapse?”

Here’s my take:

This may not be bearish on Bitcoin. It’s that being crushed by reality is what’s dragging down the listed companies.

In a bear market, your conviction can last three years—but your financial reports can only last three quarters.

Empery Digital’s share price is down 75% from its 52-week high. When a company can’t stay happy anymore, even the most stubborn coin-hoarding faith has to make room for cash flow.

They don’t necessarily dislike Bitcoin; they just can’t live long enough to see the day Bitcoin rises.

So what does this mean for us?

First, stop treating “listed-company Bitcoin hoarding” as an unbreakable floor. They’re managing capital, not practicing a religion. When it’s time to sell, they go harder than anyone.

Second, you don’t need to panic too much either. After selling, they still hold 1,514 BTC. It’s not a full liquidation. The money is being put into an AI data center—at its core, it’s using one boom to switch to another.

Third, the split within the treasury camp actually shows the market is looking for a bottom. Some cut losses and sell out of panic, while others add positions out of panic. Boyaa Interactive’s purchase of 108 BTC may be only a small portion of what someone else sold.

Finally, something from the heart:

“Faith can’t be eaten, but cash flow can.”

Empery’s move isn’t the death knell for Bitcoin—it’s a lesson that listed companies are teaching us:

Surviving matters more than anything.

Don’t mock it for “cutting positions.” They cashed out $87 million to do AI, and in three years it could come back tenfold.

And don’t blindly follow “when others are fearful, I’m greedy.” You need to first confirm whether your own cash flow can hold up until morning. #GateUS合规扩展佛罗里达 #美股AI概念股普涨 #美伊战争阴云再起 $BTC $ETH

I’ve decided to play it safe for now!
Gate saw net outflows of $200 million within seven days
The incident involving the theft of 1.7 million has been a few days already
I originally still believed in Gate
So I didn’t take it too seriously
But as I watch it escalate further and further
Seeing these outflowing funds still makes me a bit uneasy
I withdrew part of it
And I left a little bit of trust behind
I’ll wait and see what happens next and the follow-up handling result
For an exchange, fund security comes first
Don’t let users feel scared or fearful

SK Hynix’s First Day in the US Stock Market Soars 13%—Market Cap Smashes Micron by $200 Billion—but I Want to Urge You Not to Rush In

A Korean storage giant flipped the US stock semiconductor sector on its head last night.

On July 10, SK Hynix listed on Nasdaq in the form of an ADR. It opened at $170, jumping 14% from the $149 offering price. During the day, it surged to more than 19% at its peak, and ultimately closed up 12.76%, with its closing market cap landing at $1.22 trillion.

At the same time, Micron fell 1%, with a market cap of $1.11 trillion.

At one point, its market cap was nearly $200 billion higher than Micron.

This is only the first-day “pulse” powered by 2.5% of the float.

But if you really think this is “the last chance to get on board the AI leader,” I’d suggest you stay calm.

The first-day ADR traded at a premium as high as 21.68% over the Korean listed shares.

A 21% premium means you pay $1.21 to buy something that someone else can buy in Korea for $1.

Why?

Institutional consensus is very clear: in the short term, this premium won’t hold.

Morgan Stanley’s suggested “reasonable” first-day premium range is 5%-10%. Jumping to 18.5% on day one reflects a double resonance of “float scarcity + sentiment explosion,” and in the short run it will most likely pull back.

More importantly—arbitrage desks are already sharpening their knives.

Going long US ADRs and shorting the Korean listed shares: once the premium breaks above 10%, hedge funds will move in by the batch, pushing the premium down hard back into the 5%-10% range.

People who rush in chasing the highs on day one are very likely just “supplying headcount” for arbitrage capital.

But the medium- to long-term narrative really is different.

This IPO from SK Hynix set a record of $26.5 billion, surpassing Alibaba’s $25 billion in 2014. It became the largest IPO by foreign companies going to the US, with institutional subscription multiples exceeding 7x.

Why is Wall Street scrambling to snap it up?

Three words: “Korea discount” needs to disappear.

Over the past 13 years, Hynix’s valuation has long been 35% lower than Micron’s, because foreign investors buying Korean stocks have to endure three layers of friction: FX translation risk, trading time lag, and limits on foreign ownership.

Nasdaq ADRs are priced in US dollars. Paired with options and leveraged ETFs, they directly open up the global capital entry channel.

Taiwan Semiconductor’s ADR has long maintained a 10%-20% premium—that’s exactly the logic.

And once SK Hynix is included in the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index and the Nasdaq 100, passive funds will bring in continuous buying power totaling hundreds of billions of dollars.

The CEO’s remarks are even more forceful.

Koo Ro-Jeong said directly: “In 2027, the industry will face the most severe supply shortage in history, and the shortage may last beyond 2030.”

A 72% operating profit margin, 57% global market share in HBM, and long-term contracted orders locked in through 2028.

With these fundamentals, it does truly earn the title “king of AI storage.”

But I still need to pour a bucket of cold water:

That “highly volatile” nerve in the Korean market may end up carrying over to the US stock market too.

Korea’s volatility index surged to 98 by the end of June, while the US stock market’s VIX was only 18 over the same period—this gap has set a historical record.

The last time Korea’s volatility was this high corresponded to the COVID-19 pandemic and the global financial crisis.

Over the most recent 30 trading days, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index had 15 days where daily gains or losses exceeded 3%—the last time it was this wild was during the 2000 internet bubble era.

Finally, one last painfully blunt line to end on:

“The AI storage story is real,” but the 21% premium on day one may not be real.

The biggest certainty in this round of trading is: SK Hynix has opened the global capital allocation channel, and valuation re-rating is a major trend.

The biggest uncertainty is: where will you board the trade, and whether you can withstand the shockwave transmitted by that volatile “Korean volatility nerve.”

Chasing gains in the short term will almost certainly get harvested by arbitrage desks.

After the premium falls back into the 5%-10% range, then look for the follow-through from passive capital driven by index inclusion—that’s the more comfortable position. #美股AI概念股普涨 #美伊战争阴云再起 #SK海力士ADR指导价149美元 $SKHY $SNDK $MU

Last night I saw the news: to avoid this typhoon, Beijing evacuated 100k people, Wenzhou evacuated 990k people. I also moved from Ningbo to Shandong to dodge it. At this point, I think jumping on stilts should be included in compulsory education as a physical education class. If it ever floods, you can still commute to work by jumping on stilts. After all, perfect attendance is still very important.

Let’s stay on the safe side for now!
The incident at Gate 1.7 million happened several days ago
I wasn’t involved originally and didn’t really take it seriously
But seeing it grow worse and worse
In seven days, net outflows totaled $200 million
Seeing this number still makes me a bit uneasy
I moved some of it out
And I still kept a little trust
Let’s see how the follow-up handling turns out!

To see how much liquidity a chain has, check whether its several M-level meme coins have enough room for swing trades—whether they can move back and forth in waves so you can earn that money by trading those coins. This indicates that the chain’s liquidity is truly solid. Currently, playing on the Robin chain is greater than Sol chain, which is greater than BSC.
