🚨 BREAKING: Bitcoin is now up nearly 16% in July.

The relief rally started right on July 1st.

Since then:

• $BTC ‌ has gained almost 16%
• Around $250B has been added to the total crypto market cap

July has turned into a completely different story for crypto.

The question now is whether this momentum can continue.

S&P puts BTC, ETH, SOL into an “index basket”—is this an entry ticket for institutions, or the market’s new scythe for retail?

Is this really a good thing or a bad thing?

On July 21, S&P Dow Jones—yes, the global “referee” that sets the S&P 500 index—announced the launch of a digital asset index.

In partnership with Pantera Capital, it covers BTC, ETH, and SOL, using rule-based construction and fundamental screening, benchmarked against traditional standards.

The moment the news broke, crypto groups went wild: “The bull run is back—back soon!” “Institutions are coming in to take over the bags!”

But have you considered this question—

How many companies did the S&P 500 remove? Over the past 30 years, the turnover rate of S&P 500 constituents has exceeded 50%. Once-thriving companies like General Electric, Kodak, and Westinghouse Electric were swept out one by one.

Now, this “death-screening mechanism” has arrived in the crypto world.

The index launched this time is called the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index. It has two design choices you should take a close look at:

First, it covers both tokens and publicly listed companies.

BTC, ETH, SOL—these will compete on the same stage as Coinbase stock, MicroStrategy stock, and even stocks of mining companies. What does that mean? It means traditional fund managers no longer need to agonize over whether to buy Bitcoin or buy mining stocks—one index takes care of it all.

Second, it uses revenue and fundamentals as screening thresholds.

Pay special attention: “Only includes tokens and companies that have real applications and generate actual revenue.”

Translation: meme coins, dead projects, concept coins—gone.

This screening logic is exactly the same as how the S&P 500 selects constituents: you need revenue, you need profits, you need tangible cash flow.

Ask yourself: in today’s entire crypto market, can the protocols and companies that truly “generate actual revenue” really be counted on two hands?

So, do you get it now?

This isn’t about “empowering” the entire crypto market. It’s about issuing a pass to top-tier assets—and raising tombstones for bottom-tier assets.

Someone will say: isn’t this just the Coinbase index and the Bloomberg crypto index from before? What’s the difference?

The difference is huge.

Previously, most crypto indexes were “price-momentum driven”—the coin that pumps the hardest gets added, the coin that goes viral that month gets stuffed in, with speculative hype used as the reference.

This time it’s “benchmark-infrastructure driven”—with an index construction standard aligned with the S&P 500. The data is supported by Artemis at the foundation level, and it is rebalanced in a rule-based way. That means it can be directly read by the quantitative systems of giants like BlackRock, Vanguard, and Fidelity.

Once ETFs and passive-fund models have an option for the “S&P Digital Asset Index,” the flow of funds no longer becomes as simple as “buy, buy, buy”—it becomes precise allocation.

So what impact will it have on the prices of BTC and ETH?

In the short term—symbolic significance matters more than substance.

The index has just been launched, and there are no ETF products tied to it yet, so passive capital is not forced to buy immediately. Today’s BTC price (as of July 22, trading around $66,000) won’t instantly rocket because of this news.

In the medium term—disclosing the constituent list for the first time will decide fund flows.

Which tokens get included? Which get removed? This suspense matters even more than the index itself. If SOL is included while ADA is excluded, the “inclusion premium” and “exclusion discount” will be priced quickly by the market.

In the long term—this is the final piece of the compliance puzzle.

The SEC has been saying that the crypto market lacks regulatory benchmarks. Now S&P has given you one. This is like building a highway for institutional capital—but remember: on that highway, the cars that run are the ones that follow the rules—compliant, generating revenue.

As for your stack of scam coins, dead-meme coins, and signal-trading coins—this news won’t benefit them. Instead, because of the existence of the “benchmark threshold,” mainstream capital will completely forget them.

In the past, everyone crossed the river by feeling the stones in the dark. Now S&P turns on the lights—showing only those few big fish.

S&P isn’t here to lift you up. It’s here to draw the third-and-eighth line in the crypto market.

You think that having an index means a bull market? Wrong. Having an index means there’s finally “exclusion.”

Waiting for Google’s earnings report tonight, but honestly, whether the EPS beats by one or two cents doesn’t interest me much.
The one issue worth watching on it now is: after pouring so much money into AI, have they started to see returns?
Reuters mentioned that Gemini 3.5 Pro was originally planned to launch in June but has been delayed; on the other side, Alphabet has also pulled its 2026 capital expenditures up to $180 billion–$190 billion.
That’s not a small number on anyone.
The good news is Google isn’t purely burning cash. In the prior quarter, Cloud growth was up 63%; and its annualized revenue run-rate in last year’s Q4 already exceeded $70 billion, with backlog also building to $240 billion.
So when looking at Google now, you can’t just compare it with OpenAI on the model.
It also has search, ads, Cloud, TPU, and enterprise customers. If the AI actually gets built properly, the money can be recouped from several places.
The trouble is: once the model pace slows down, data centers, power, and depreciation won’t wait with you.
Tonight, I’m mainly watching whether Cloud can keep running, whether CapEx will be pushed higher again, and how management explains the Gemini delay.
If the revenue side keeps up, I’ll keep viewing it as a core AI asset; if the money keeps getting spent more aggressively and the realization slows down instead, I’d rather sit on the sidelines for a bit first.
After being a retail investor for so many years, I still have that kind of patience.

Changxin Technology’s biggest listing surprise: the founder personally invests 20 billion yuan, creating wealth for the entire staff at over one million per capita
Changxin Technology is set to list on the STAR Market. Compared with a fund-raising scale of nearly 29.5 billion yuan, what really explodes the market is the founder Zhu Yiming’s top-tier strategic vision: he gives away shares with a personal value of more than 20 billion yuan to nearly 20,000 employees for free. The per-capita shareholding value exceeds one million, directly batch-creating more than 10,000 chip “millionaires.”
Behind this fortune is a hard-core story of China’s domestic memory chips achieving an extreme nine-year comeback. For a long time, the global DRAM market has been absolutely dominated by three giants—Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron—through patent lockouts and price wars, leaving domestic players with virtually no say.
Changxin Technology took a differentiated path to break out: it acquired core patents and R&D teams from Germany’s bankrupt company Qimonda, securing a compliant technology foundation. By avoiding head-on involution, it has continued to independently iterate and upgrade.
At the same time, Hefei’s state-owned capital took a decisive, make-or-break approach—rolling out a 72 billion yuan special support fund, with no performance betting, to fully back China’s domestic memory push to breakthrough. For a full nine years, Changxin continued investing and posted losses year after year, burning a cumulative 36.65 billion yuan. It also gritted its teeth and skipped old process nodes, directly tackling DDR5 and LPDDR5 high-end memory technologies.
After surviving the toughest cycle, in 2025, backed by the AI compute-power boom, Changxin successfully turned loss into profit, achieving an exceptional profitability capacity of nearly 400 million yuan earned per day.
From consecutive massive losses to an industry “money-printing machine,” Changxin has used real money in tuition to completely tear through the overseas memory giants’ technological iron curtain, ending the history of domestic no independent mass production of DRAM chips.
This is not only a company’s comeback, but also the best snapshot of China’s domestic semiconductor hard-core breakout.

Trump nodded, but the bill isn’t secure yet! In these two weeks, what the crypto market fears most isn’t a drop—it’s “not passing”

The CLARITY Act.

If you still don’t know what these four letters mean, I’ll say it plainly: it could be the most gentle policy “sweep” the US has ever carried out against the crypto industry.

But on July 22, a dramatic scene unfolded:

Trump approved the wording of the bill’s “ethics provisions.”

Sounds like a major positive, right? If the president nodded, what else is there to say?

Don’t rush. The bipartisan consensus in Washington is even harder to find than USDT reserves being transparent.

What exactly did Trump agree to?

The content of the provision is actually simple:

It bans federal officials such as members of Congress, the president, and the vice president from issuing digital assets, with the Department of Justice as the chief enforcement agency.

Translation: If you’re an official, don’t think about issuing tokens to cut retail investors. If you break the law, the DOJ will handle it.

On paper, a provision that limits officials’ power should be a “protective umbrella” for the industry—at least it signals that regulation is starting to play by the rules.

But the problem lies in those three words: “enforcement power.”

The Democrats blew up immediately

Senator Alsobrooks fired off a direct challenge:

“Why should the DOJ take control of everything? What about state-level enforcement power?”

On the surface, it’s a dispute over jurisdiction. Under the hood, the real subtext is:

“Trump’s TRUMP meme coin, and his World Liberty Financial—will the DOJ investigate them, and how far can it go?”

Do you get it?

Trump endorsed the provision because the provision’s “practical binding power” on his personal token-issuing behavior may be limited. And the Democrats are holding onto it because they want to specify the enforcement power down to the state level—meaning, they’re putting “bayonets” onto the provision.

This isn’t a party fight.

It’s about whether this bill is truly “protecting investors,” or protecting some people’s own stash.

You know why the crypto world both loves and hates this bill?

Because Section 604—if it gets removed—could bring non-custodial developers (i.e., the people writing the code) under the jurisdiction of the Bank Secrecy Act.

Still don’t get it? I’ll spell out the consequences for you:

If you build an open-source wallet, you may not have custody of users’ assets. But if Section 604 is removed, you might have to fulfill KYC/anti-money-laundering obligations like a bank.

This isn’t regulation—it’s discouragement for developers.

Industry lawyers have already spoken: remove Section 604? Sure—then we’ll see you in court. Constitutional challenges are waiting for you.

With the August 7 recess deadline just two weeks away.

Trump’s nod ≠ the bill will pass smoothly.

Right now, the situation is:

✅ The biggest obstacle removed (Trump’s nod)

⛔ A new obstacle appears (the tug-of-war over enforcement power + Section 604)

After the news came out, BTC briefly spiked and then pulled back; it’s currently trading around $66,500. Not a straight surge, not a brutal crash—markets are “voting” with four words: cautious optimism.

Because everyone knows:

If the bill doesn’t pass before the recess, all negotiations will have to be restarted in September. By then, with election-year political games getting even more intense, the provisions will be rewritten into something even more unrecognizable.

I think it can pass. But it’ll likely be a “compromise version.”

The core logic is simple:

Trump needs legislative achievements—this is the real-world validation of his “pro-crypto” persona.

The Democrats need a compliance framework—because the cost of leaving things unmanaged is higher.

The industry needs certainty—even the worst rules are better than having no rules.

The final version is likely to be: the ethics provision remains, but enforcement power is shared between the federal government and the states. Section 604 may be compromised into a “more mild wording,” so it won’t outright plunge all developers into the water in one fell swoop.

Not the best outcome, but possibly the only version that can pass right now.

You think Trump’s nod means it’s settled? In Washington, the script is never known for sure until the last line—never until you find out who the villain is. #事件合约上线 #ETH突破1900美元 #夏日创作营 $BTC $ETH

A week ago it was a technical bear market—today it directly jumps 10%: is this market crazy?

Last week, when the new model from Moon of Darkness was released, global chip stocks immediately panicked—“AI compute demand will drop,” “the GPU bubble is about to burst.” Bears rushed in. SK Hynix fell nearly 25% from its peak, and the Korean market overall was almost sliding into a technical bear market.

Last week, Goldman Sachs was still issuing a proper report, recommending that investors reduce AI trading exposure.

So what happened? Today

KOSPI surged 5.85%, hitting 7,100 points during the session. SK Hynix rose more than 8.7%, and Samsung Electronics rose more than 5.6%. The Korean exchange even triggered a circuit breaker—this is the 20th time this year that buy-side automated program trading has been paused.

Within a week, it went from “AI is over” to “up more than 10% in a single day.” Bears were collectively pinned to the ground, and position-covering piled in like an avalanche.

That Goldman Sachs report became a precise contrarian indicator.

Is this kind of volatility normal? Normal my ass.

This isn’t normal price discovery—this is a sign that the market pricing mechanism has completely gotten out of control.

Think about it: why were bears willing to go heavy a week ago?

Because Moon of Darkness really did cast doubt on the “infinite compute demand” story. Korean stocks pulled back nearly 25% from their highs, which looked like a trend reversal. Bears thought the timing and conditions were perfect and loaded up, betting that the AI tide was going out.

Then what?

The US stock Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 5.21% overnight. As soon as Asian trading opened, dip-buying flooded in. Bear positions were too concentrated—record-high short positions, when the price reversed, got squeezed one after another, like a theater fire where everyone fights for a single exit.

So from a “technical bear market” to “a squeeze-driven surge of more than 10% in one day,” it only took two days.

This shows the market never formed stable consensus on the AI narrative. When it goes up, it rockets; when it drops, it plunges. It’s all position warfare—pure emotion amplification.

AI storage and AI-compute-related crypto assets were smashed in the last round along with chip stocks, and the sentiment got drained. Today’s big bullish candle in chip stocks is like a shot of adrenaline for the AI narrative.

If this week the tech giants’ earnings report—especially their capital expenditure guidance—can confirm that AI infrastructure build-out is still accelerating, then this round of short covering won’t be a short-lived pulse, but the first step in a trend repair.

Conversely, if the giants say they plan to slow down buying GPUs, then today’s surge is nothing more than a pack of shorts stomping on each other. #GUSD年化升至3.8% #事件合约上线 #夏日创作营 $SKHY $SNDK $MU

Back then, Moonlight worked so hard to take part in their airdrop campaign.
They even joined the KOL round.
And believing in the project’s vision, I chose to lock up my funds.

Coinbase surges 8.3%, MSTR rockets 9.5% — are institutions back, or are retail just hyping themselves up?

On July 21, all three major U.S. stock indexes closed higher, with the Nasdaq rising 1.29% to lead. But what truly sent crypto people’s adrenaline soaring was those few crypto-sector stocks—

Coinbase +8.3%, MicroStrategy +9.5%, and Circle surged 13.87% as well.

Crypto stocks outperformed the broader market—and not by a little.

Is this a leading signal that institutions are reconfiguring their crypto exposure, or is it just a one-day “follow-the-market” rebound play?

On the surface, it looks like two forces are syncing:

First, positive signals are emerging in crypto regulation. Progress on the CLARITY ethical provisions provides a direct catalyst for the entire crypto sector. Circle’s 13.87% jump is the most direct vote by the market for the compliant stablecoin track.

Second, tech-stock sentiment is repairing. Driven by a bullish report from Bank of America on AI memory demand, Micron surged 12% in a single day, lifting the entire semiconductor sector. With the Nasdaq nearing its all-time high, risk appetite clearly rebounded.

Bitcoin broke above 66,000 USDT in the afternoon, up more than 3% over 24 hours. Ethereum climbed above 1,900 USDT, and spot ETF inflows continued on a net basis.

It sounds great, right?

But I’m going to pour cold water on it

Crypto stocks leading the way can mean two things:

Possibility one: institutions are back.

Coinbase and MSTR are the most direct “proxy targets” for institutional allocations to crypto assets. When big money wants to add to crypto but is constrained by compliance or custody issues, it typically buys these two stocks first. When crypto stocks lead the broader market, it usually means institutional funds are reassessing the allocation value of crypto assets.

If this is true, then BTC breaking through the prior high is only a matter of time.

Possibility two: it’s just rebounding with the broader market.

Don’t forget: crypto stocks are first “stocks,” and only then “crypto.” The Nasdaq rising 1.29%, Coinbase up 8.3%—sounds dramatic, but you need to know Coinbase’s beta is already 5–8 times the broader market. When the market rises 1%, it rises 8%—that’s normal, not an abnormal signal.

What’s more, the spot market’s recovery happens before the stock market. Bitcoin broke above 66,000 in the afternoon; crypto stocks are moving up following spot, not the other way around.

That means the rally in crypto stocks may simply be a lagging reaction to already-rising gains in the spot market, not institutions “running ahead” with fresh capital.

What really makes me cautious is what comes next over the next 48 hours

On July 23, two major things will land:

ECB interest-rate decision—if it releases dovish signals, risk assets keep partying; if it unexpectedly turns hawkish, this rebound could quickly fizzle out.

Tesla, Google, Intel Q2 earnings reports—these three companies’ results directly determine whether the Nasdaq can hold its ground near the all-time highs. If tech stocks crash, crypto stocks are the first to get dragged under.

Right now, when you rush in, you’re betting that both of these things deliver positives.

Do you dare to bet?

Coinbase up 8% isn’t strange. What’s strange is that you don’t know why it’s rising.

Institutions are back with a slow bull trend; retail charging in is a trap—can you tell which one this is now?

Why didn’t the first “ceasefire” window after the U.S.-Iran tensions reignite cool oil prices?
Yesterday, Iran first proposed a 10-day ceasefire.
In the evening, Trump wasn’t interested.
(Probably because Iran opened crude oil short positions, and Trump’s long positions haven’t been closed yet.)
Today, the U.S. Secretary of State said he’s open to talks.
But these messages didn’t cool oil prices—instead, prices kept rising.
This is likely a “spokesperson” issue; it’s only staying at the level of what’s said.
But since this momentum is there, more short-term ceasefire talk will likely show up in the near term, and the market will be watching what Trump says—(i.e., when to take profit on the longs).
Yesterday, Iran proposed a “temporary ceasefire,” opened 82 shorts, but didn’t get a further response—then woke up to find it had turned into a loss.
Recently, stocks, gold, and oil have all been rising: stocks and crypto longs have made money, while oil shorts are losing.
But as long as the “temporary ceasefire” window is reached, oil prices will cool down quickly.

BTC breaks through 66,000— is it really expensive?

Yesterday, a single big green candle pulled Bitcoin through 66,000 USDT.

The group instantly boiled over: “The bull is back!” “Get in now!” “See 80k!”

A Bitcoin at 66,000— is it expensive or not?

Don’t go by instinct. Let the data speak.

1/4 📊 MVRV percentile → about 5%

On-chain analysts point out that Bitcoin’s MVRV percentile has fallen to around 5%, a zone that historically typically corresponds to long-term bottom areas.

Translation: historically, only 5% of the time has Bitcoin been “cheaper than now.”

In the past three times this signal appeared—March 2020, November 2022, and August 2024—what was the average upside over the following 12 months?

Not 20%. Not 50%.

It’s three digits.

What you think is expensive right now may look, a year from now, like the cheapest coins you’ll ever see in your lifetime.

2/4 💰 ETF net inflow on a single day → $226.8 million

On July 20, the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net inflow of $226.8 million in a single day. Spot Ethereum ETFs also saw a simultaneous net inflow of $38 million.

Institutions won’t FOMO just because of one big green candle. Their buying logic is: geopolitical risk is cleared, interest-rate expectations are clear, and compliance channels have matured—when these three align, it means “it’s time to allocate.”

While retail traders are still asking whether it’s “a con,” institutions have already bought the goods.

3/4 🐳 On-chain behavior is polarized

On one side, a whale withdraws 7,000 ETH from exchanges and stakes it—locked up, won’t sell.

On the other side, a Bitcoin OG whale holding for 12 years sold the final 1,000 BTC during the rebound, with cumulative profits exceeding $430 million, fully liquidating and exiting.

Old money is withdrawing. New money is moving in.

The coins are changing hands.

Every major bottom comes with a group of people giving up in despair and another group taking over out of greed.

4/4 📈 Price vs key thresholds

66,000 has broken—where is the next psychological level?

Technically, 68,000–70,000 is the dense traded zone and also the shorts’ last line of defense.

The next 72 hours are critical.

If it holds, short covering will push the price even higher.

If it pulls back, then it was a fake breakout, and bulls will have another batch buried. #GUSD年化升至3.8% #ETH突破1900美元 #夏日创作营 $ETH $SOL $BTC

Written to you and me—ordinary people investing in US stocks—the actions we should take in today’s changing market.

This morning before the bell, storage stocks have risen again: SanDisk up 7%, SK hynix up 6%, and Micron, Western Digital, and Seagate all around 5%.

And last Friday, the scene was the opposite: SK hynix down 13%, SanDisk down 12%, the SOX dropped two tenths from its high point—technically, we’ve officially entered a bear market.

It all happened with just a weekend in between.

When storage prices fall, they still say the same thing: storage is originally a cyclical stock, the highs are already long gone, and you should have run earlier.
