BTC at $65,000—is the longer the sideways movement lasts, the more anxious you get?

Look at the surface first: sideways volatility, with no clear direction.

BTC has been moving back and forth within the $62k-$66k range for three full weeks, repeatedly testing $65,000. It is up 0.8% for the week and down 0.3% for the month, as if nailed to the wall. The candlesticks tell you that trading volume continues to shrink and the market is waiting for a direction.

First: Institutions are buying, whales are accumulating, and you are waiting for a crash?

Spot ETFs saw net inflows of approximately $750 million-$850 million this week—the strongest week since April. BlackRock's IBIT has recorded net inflows for multiple consecutive days, with institutions aggressively accumulating while prices move sideways.

At the same time, addresses holding 10-10,000 BTC have continued to net accumulate since late July, moving in tandem with ETF inflows.

Every time prices move sideways while institutions continue buying, it is a precursor to a sharp rally.

Second: There was an “unexpected positive development” on the macro front.

July nonfarm employment unexpectedly fell by 23k, while an increase of 80k was expected. The previous figure was also revised downward.

The labor market is clearly slowing

The Fed has lost its confidence in keeping rates “higher for longer”

Short-term rate-hike expectations have weakened

The shackles on risk assets have loosened somewhat

The Fed had just kept rates unchanged at 3.50%-3.75% in late July, but after the employment data was released, market expectations for September have already begun to shift.

The worst moment for the macro environment may already have passed.

Third: Technically, it has reached a point where a direction must be chosen.

On the 4-hour chart, it is in the middle-to-upper part of the Bollinger Bands, while overall trading volume remains low. Daily RSI is around 50-55, neutral; MACD shows a weak golden cross or is moving sideways, with insufficient momentum.

But take note—the chart has already formed the beginnings of an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern. If it breaks above the $66,000 neckline with increased volume, the target points to around $75,000.

Bulls and bears have been locked in this position for three weeks. To the upside, a break above $66,000 would directly open up room for further gains; to the downside, a break below $64,000 would put $62,200 to the test.

Fourth: The BIP-110 controversy—“a false alarm” or “early risk removal”?

A controversial soft-fork attempt emerged on the Bitcoin network, but miner support was extremely low and it quickly stalled, causing no substantive split.

The CLARITY Act vote has been postponed to September, meaning short-term regulatory upside has failed to materialize—but there is no downside either

Bulls versus bears—you decide

On one side:

ETF net inflows of $800 million in one week, the strongest since April

Whale addresses continuing to accumulate, with institutional buying providing support

The nonfarm payroll shock weakened rate-hike expectations and eased macro pressure

The Fear and Greed Index is at 31; sentiment is weak but prices are not falling—negative factors are losing their impact

The beginnings of an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern, with a $75,000 target upon breaking $66,000

On the other side:

$65,000 has not been breached for three weeks, with dense resistance overhead

Short-term holders' cost basis is around $67,500, creating potential selling pressure

The CLARITY Act has been delayed, with no short-term regulatory upside

If the dollar strengthens, risk assets will come under pressure

Key levels

Upside targets: $66,000-$67,000 (neckline + key resistance) → $70,000 → $75,000+

Downside defenses: $64,000-$64,200 → $62,200-$62,500 → $57,000-$58,000

Trading strategies

Short-term traders:

If a pullback to $64,200-$64,500 stabilizes, cautiously open a small long position, with a stop-loss at $63,500 and a target of $65,500-$66,000. Add to longs and chase the breakout if $66,000 is breached on increased volume, with a target of $70,000-$75,000.

Swing traders:

Wait for a daily close to hold above $66,000 before entering on the right side, with a target of $70,000-$75,000. If $64,000 is decisively broken and the decline accelerates, stay on the sidelines and wait until $62,200 before reconsidering.

Long-term believers:

Make staggered investments below $64,000. With ETFs continuing to see inflows, whales accumulating, and the post-halving cycle in play, the target for the end of 2026 is $80,000-$100,000.

BTC now looks like the sideways accumulation phase in the summer of 2024—

99% of people thought “it will keep falling,” but it went straight from $50k to $100k in Q4.

The day $66,000 breaks, you will realize:

It was not that BTC was weak—it was that you were shaken out every time during the sideways bottoming process.

10 Truths About Trading:
1. Don’t want to keep getting slapped around by the market? The simplest way: don’t trade.
2. The market is always right. The more determined you are to beat the market, the more likely you are to hold onto a position all the way down, only to suffer ever-greater losses.
3. Excellent traders have achieved a state of unity between themselves and the natural world. When placing an order, thoughts like “Should I take the trade? What if I’m wrong? Maybe I should wait a little longer?” don’t cross their minds. They simply execute—cleanly, decisively, and without hesitation. It’s like a fish hunting in water, completely unaware of any barrier between itself and the water.
4. The core of good trading comes down to three words: stop-loss, stop-loss, and stop-loss again.
5. The essence of risk control: Only trade with money you can afford to lose, and only take positions where a win would feel meaningful. If neither condition is met, don’t trade.
6. No matter how many times you lose, how often you get slapped in the face, or how foolish others call you, grit your teeth and continue to follow your method strictly without giving up halfway. Believe deep down that as long as you keep doing the right thing, success will come sooner or later.
7. When a trend is rising or falling, trading with it can make you money. But no trend lasts forever; one day, it will come to an end. Once it suddenly turns, if you stubbornly cling to your original direction, it will throw you off and make you lose big.
8. Want to understand the market? Just go to the beach and watch the waves. If you try to push a wave back when it comes, you won’t be able to—you can only go with it.
9. Many people lose money not because their system is ineffective, but because the system doesn’t suit them. For example, if you are naturally prone to anxiety but use a system that requires enduring large drawdowns, your mindset will break down. Or if you like trading frequently but use an ultra-long-term system, you won’t be able to sit still.
10. Don’t predict the future. Only react to what has already happened. For example, once the price has started rising and the trend has formed, go long with it. As soon as the trend turns and the price starts deteriorating, immediately admit you were wrong and exit. When it starts looking good again, simply re-enter. Your losses remain controllable.

5 principles for buying low and selling high:
1. Find the perfect cup-and-handle pattern
The stock price first forms a large cup, then pulls out a small handle. The cleaner the handle, the better—it should look pleasing to the eye.
2. The handle must drift downward on declining volume
As the price falls, trading volume should steadily decrease, showing that no one is in a hurry to sell. Ideally, there should also be a small shakeout to get rid of the weak holders.
3. The breakout must come with heavy volume
When the stock price surges upward, trading volume should roughly double compared with the previous week. Only when volume picks up is there truly strong buying demand.
4. Relative strength must be powerful enough
The RS should be at least 90, and the relative strength line should ideally hit a new high first. When the stock price has yet to break its previous high but the strength line has already surged past it, that is a sign of a strong stock.
5. Earnings growth must be steady as a rock
Don’t focus on a short-term burst; look for companies that steadily trend upward year after year. A smooth and stable earnings curve is what makes a truly reliable, high-quality company.

After reading these 9 points, you’ll completely cure your mental exhaustion!
1. Afraid of dying?
No one can leave this world alive; everyone ends up in a crematorium eventually.
2. Afraid of going bankrupt?
You can earn the money back once it’s gone. As long as you’re alive, you can turn things around.
3. Afraid of losing face?
Don’t take yourself too seriously. At most, in a week, no one will have the time or energy to remember your embarrassing mess.
4. Afraid of being rejected?
Being rejected is completely normal. Who in this world hasn’t been rejected a few times?
5. Afraid of failure?
Failure is part of growing. If you never stumble, how will you learn to walk?
6. Afraid of being talked about?
Other people have mouths of their own. No matter how well you do, someone will always point fingers and criticize. To hell with them.
7. Afraid of losing someone?
Some people are destined to be nothing more than passing friends on your journey. If they leave, let them go; the ones who stay are the real ones.
8. Afraid of making mistakes?
Falling into the wrong trap won’t kill you. Dust yourself off, learn your lesson, and keep moving forward.
9. Afraid of taking risks?
Regretting that you never dared to do anything will hurt ten thousand times more when you’re old than losing now.
Stop overthinking. Treat today as the last day of your life and just go for it!

SNDK at 1218—would you dare to buy the dip?

Look at the surface first: earnings beat expectations, but the stock plunged.

Q4 revenue was $8.97 billion, up 372% year over year, and EPS of 39.25 beat expectations, while gross margin surged to 85%—data at a god-tier level in any industry. And the result? It plunged 7-9% after hours, falling from 2354 to around 1218, down another 12% over the past 5 days.

First: the guidance was “slightly soft,” but you’re overlooking the most critical numbers.

Q1 FY27 revenue guidance is $10.3-10.8 billion, with a midpoint of $10.55 billion, below some optimistic estimates of $10.9 billion. So the market interpreted it as “slowing growth” and dumped the stock first.

SanDisk has locked in minimum revenue from over 50% of FY27 capacity and approximately two-thirds of FY28 capacity, totaling $94 billion, plus $16.5 billion in financial guarantees, with a contract median term of up to 4 years.

Second: the $15 billion buyback firepower is fully unleashed, and management is telling you, “I’m very cheap.”

Alongside the earnings report, the company announced an additional $14 billion in buyback authorization, bringing the remaining total to $15.5 billion. At the current share price of around 1200, it could repurchase more than 12 million shares, equivalent to approximately 6-7% of total shares outstanding.

Public companies understand their own value best. When a company is willing to spend $15 billion buying back its own stock, there are only two possibilities: either management is crazy, or the stock is severely undervalued.

Third: the AI storage narrative is being undervalued—HBF is the real killer feature.

Most people only see the NAND price increase cycle, but they’re missing the most critical long-term logic.

SanDisk and SK hynix are advancing the High Bandwidth Flash (HBF) OCP standard, with Google participating, specifically targeting near-memory computing for AI inference. BiCS10 1Tb TLC has entered sampling, taking density, power consumption, and performance to another level.

AI training requires massive amounts of storage, but AI inference demand is several times that of training. Inference requires flash memory to be close to the compute units, with low latency and high bandwidth—which is exactly what HBF addresses.

On August 13, at the Investor Day, more details will likely be released. This is the next major catalyst.

Fourth: technically, it has reached a “die or live” inflection point.

After halving from 2350 to 1218, the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement level is right around 1220, while the stock is also sitting at the bottom of a rising wedge and on horizontal support. RSI has fallen into the 30s oversold zone, and bearish momentum in the MACD is slowing.

Daily oversold conditions plus multiple support levels converging suggest a short-term rebound is needed. But until it breaks above 1300 effectively, it remains in a consolidation bottoming phase within a downtrend.

Bulls vs. bears—you decide

On one side:

NBM long-term contracts lock in FY27-28 revenue for two years, eliminating cyclicality

$15 billion in buyback firepower—the company believes it is very cheap

HBF technological breakthrough + AI inference boom, with the valuation logic being restructured

The qualitative shift in gross margin from 30% to 85% means it is no longer the cyclical stock it used to be

August 13 Investor Day is the next catalyst

On the other side:

The Q1 guidance midpoint is slightly below the most optimistic expectations

Technical pressure after halving from 2350

The release of NAND capacity in 2027 could bring supply and demand into balance

High interest rates from the Federal Reserve are suppressing growth-stock valuations

Key levels

Upside targets: 1280-1300 (first hurdle) → 1350-1500 → 1600-1800

Downside floor: 1180-1200 → 1100-1050 → 950-1000

Trading strategy

Short-term traders:

Lightly test long positions in the 1210-1200 range, with a stop-loss below 1180. Target 1250-1280, and move quickly in and out. If it breaks below 1180 directly over the weekend, stay on the sidelines and wait for confirmation at the U.S. market open.

Swing traders:

Build long positions in batches at 1180-1220, with a hard stop-loss at 1100. First target: 1350-1400 (reduce the position by half); second target: 1600-1800 (around Investor Day). Chase if it breaks above 1500 on heavy volume.

Short strategy:

Only lightly test short positions if a rebound to 1300-1350 is rejected and a bearish divergence appears, with a stop-loss at 1380 and a target of a retest of 1200.

SNDK now looks like Nvidia at the end of 2023—

Gold at $4,350—would you chase it?

Look at the surface first: the data exploded, and gold prices went crazy.

July nonfarm payrolls came in at -23k versus expectations of +80k, with the previous reading also revised downward. The market went into a frenzy: the probability of a Fed rate hike in September plunged from 57% to 44%, while gold surged 6.5%-7% in a single week, ripping from 4000 to 4350 in one bullish candle. After breaking upward from a multi-week consolidation, the MACD golden cross was confirmed, and the weekly chart moved more than 10% above the annual low. The bulls are now in control, with 4500 directly in sight.

First: Nonfarm payrolls “collapsed”—but is what you’re seeing an illusion?

-23k vs. +80k—that gap is absurd, right?

But look closely—the unemployment rate is still 4.3%-4.4%, and wage growth hasn’t collapsed either. This isn’t an economic collapse; it’s a normal “bump during a soft landing.”

The market has overinterpreted it. It’s true that the probability of a rate hike has fallen, but there are still three Fed votes against keeping rates unchanged (favoring a hike).

The Fed is now simply “cooking according to the data”—the CPI release on August 12 is the real make-or-break judge.

Second: Why do central banks keep buying? This is gold’s “iron floor.”

In Q2, global central banks made net purchases of 289 tons of gold, up sharply year-on-year.

Central banks in emerging markets continue to diversify their reserves—this is structural buying, not a quick trade before running away.

Global debt has hit record highs, and central banks around the world are “de-dollarizing” their reserves.

Retail traders are studying the charts and guessing the top, while central banks keep buying quarter after quarter.

Central banks buy gold not because it will rise, but because confidence in the dollar is eroding over the long term.

Third: A signal has appeared on the technical front that must be taken seriously.

The 4350 level is where the previous high, a psychological threshold, and a descending trendline converge. The multi-week consolidation has broken upward, the weekly chart shows a large bullish candle more than 10% above the annual low, the MACD golden cross is confirmed, and the RSI has rebounded from oversold territory while still having room to rise.

But gold fell from its January ATH of 5600 to 4000, a drop of $1,600. At 4350, it hasn’t even reached the 50% retracement level.

Bull-bear showdown—see for yourself.

On one side:

Payrolls collapsed, rate-hike expectations plunged, and the dollar weakened.

Global central banks made net purchases of 289 tons in Q2, with structural buying continuing.

The weekly bullish candle and MACD golden cross are confirmed.

The multi-week consolidation broke upward on increased volume.

On the other side:

There is significant division within the Fed, with three votes against keeping rates unchanged.

If CPI exceeds expectations, rate-hike expectations will rebound immediately.

4350 is a resistance zone at the previous high.

If geopolitical tensions push oil prices higher → inflation concerns → the dollar rises → gold faces short-term pressure.

Key levels

Upside resistance: 4350-4370 → 4490-4530 (key zone) → 4850+

Downside support: 4300-4320 → 4175 → 4000-4020

Trading strategy

Short-term traders:

Go lightly long near the current price or on a pullback to 4320-4340, with a stop-loss below 4280, a first target of 4400-4450, and a second target of 4490-4530.

Conservative traders:

Wait for a reversal candlestick to appear on a pullback to 4300-4320 before entering, or wait for right-side confirmation after the CPI data is released before chasing.

Bearish scenario (only after a reversal):

If the daily chart decisively breaks below 4175 on increased volume, or if CPI exceeds expectations and rate-hike expectations surge, then consider a small short position, targeting 4000.

Before the August 12 CPI release, all positions must have stop-losses set. Reduce positions or hedge before the data is released. Add to positions when the direction is right, and cut losses when it’s wrong—staying alive matters more than anything.

Gold right now looks like when it broke through 2100 in 2024—

99% of people thought “it’s risen too much and needs a correction,” but it ripped from 2100 to 2800.

On the day 4500 breaks through, you’ll realize:

It wasn’t that gold was incapable—it was that you kept treating a structural bull market as a rebound trade.

A few days ago, a friend told me he had watched the market all night and ended up not making a single trade. His tone was full of regret, as if he had lost money. I said, “The trades you missed cost you nothing. What are you regretting?” The real cost has never been missing out—it’s making the wrong move. Missing out simply means you didn’t make money; making the wrong move is what really loses you money. Many people can’t distinguish between the two and always feel that failing to seize an opportunity is the same as losing money.

HYPE at $54.5 just saw 9.92M tokens unlock and get dumped—did you run?

Look at the surface first: bearish factors are piling up, and panic is brewing.

Volatility over the past 24 hours has been extremely low, with a high-low range of only 53.7-55.9 and an amplitude of less than 4%. The weekly chart remains weak, down 20%, but the price has already retraced 29% from the ATH of 76.85. This is a typical low-volume bottoming process with bulls and bears locked in a stalemate—not a crash, but the calm before the storm.

First: 9.92 million tokens unlocked, but you were scared senseless.

Around 9.92 million HYPE tokens unlocked on August 6-7, with the nominal value amplified by the media to several hundred million dollars. The team actually claimed and sold only around $22 million worth, far below the scale anticipated by the market in its panic.

Sounds scary? But most of the tokens unlocked in this wave have not moved at all. The media hyped “unlocking” into “dumping”; you panicked and cut your losses, while the real dumpers have yet to appear.

Second: You think retail investors are running? Whales are quietly buying the dip.

On the day of the unlock:

A certain whale withdrew $20 million worth of HYPE from an exchange in a single transaction.

Exchange balances continue to decline, while smart money is “buying the dip.”

The buyback machine is running, with millions of dollars in daily fee revenue used to buy and burn HYPE on the open market.

Third: The buyback machine is devouring supply while you are still staring at the chart.

As of August, cumulative HYPE buybacks and burns had reached 4.75% of the maximum supply:

Around $15,000-$1.8 million in fee revenue every day, with 97% used directly to buy back and burn HYPE.

Annualized buybacks have reached more than $500 million.

Starting in late August, a larger portion of the USDC reserve yield will flow into the Assistance Fund’s HYPE-buying program.

The tokens you panic-sold were bought back with protocol revenue and then permanently destroyed.

This is a deflationary flywheel with built-in buying pressure—the higher the trading volume, the more buybacks, and the lower the circulating supply.

Bulls vs. bears—you decide

On one side:

The bearish impact of the unlock has materialized, with selling pressure proving to be far smaller than expected.

The buyback flywheel continues to operate, injecting millions of dollars in buying pressure every day.

Whales are withdrawing tokens from exchanges, while smart money is accumulating.

RSI is neutral to low, MACD is showing a divergence, and there are signs of an attempted breakout of the descending trendline.

On the other side:

The monthly chart is still down 20%, and the weekly chart remains weak.

HYPE-related ETFs/ETPs have seen consecutive days of outflows.

JPMorgan has warned that competition with SOL/XRP is intensifying.

If BTC loses 64k, HYPE will most likely follow it lower.

Key levels

Upside resistance: 55.5-57.8 → 60-61 → 66 (medium-term target)

Downside support: 53.3-53.7 (short-term line in the sand) → 50-53 (iron-bottom demand zone) → a break below 50 would mean a deeper pullback

Trading strategy

Short-term traders:

Go long with light, staggered positions at 53.5-54.5, with a stop-loss below 52.5-53. Take partial profits at 55.5-56.5, with a second target of 57.5-58.5 and a more distant target above 60.

Aggressive traders: If it breaks above 55.75 on strong volume and holds, add to the position and chase the move, with a stop-loss at 54.

Bearish approach: Only lightly short after a clear, confirmed high-volume break below 53.7, targeting 50-51, with a stop-loss above 55.

Swing/long-term traders:

Accumulate in batches below 54, using the simple “buy when it drops” method, targeting 60+ or even 66+. The prerequisite is that you can hold.

All known bearish factors have already been reflected in the 54.5 price.

The low-volume sideways movement after a 29% pullback is not a distribution zone, but an accumulation zone.

Stop waiting for the “absolute bottom”—you cannot catch the exact bottom, but you can buy in the “bottoming zone.”

HYPE now looks like SOL trading around $20 in the summer of 2023—

99% of people thought “it has risen too much and will go to zero,” but it later rose tenfold.

On the day 55 breaks out, you will realize:

It was not that HYPE was no good; it was that you handed over your tokens in panic every time.

Did you run when the tokens unlocked?

The biggest change I’ve observed among the friends around me during this crypto bear market is that they’ve all become better-looking to varying degrees. I have to say, the best aesthetic treatment for men is aesthetic medicine, followed by fitness.
After all, if a man spends tens of thousands more on his face, he can spend hundreds of thousands less on chasing women. You can’t see the gains and losses in everyday trading, but you can see the money spent on your face.

BIP-110 Split Farce Comes to an End: A High-Profile “Bitcoin Fork” Ultimately Became an Ignored Orphan Chain

August 8, early morning.

Bitcoin block height 961,632.

A small number of nodes decided to leave the mainnet and implement the BIP-110 rules.

The media began hyping it: “Bitcoin has split in two!”

Are you panicking?

Don’t. Let’s see how this “forked chain” is doing now—

While the Bitcoin main chain had advanced to block 961,651, the BIP-110 fork chain had mined only two blocks, remaining at 961,633.

It was 18 to 20 blocks behind the main chain.

And the gap is still growing.

This fork farce, portrayed as “the biggest governance crisis in Bitcoin’s history,” went from launch to complete irrelevance in less than 48 hours.

Let’s go through it from the beginning.

In December 2025, a developer using the pseudonym Dathon Ohm proposed BIP-110. Bitcoin Core developer Luke Dashjr provided the original draft proposal.

The proposal: Restrict the inclusion of non-financial data such as Ordinals inscriptions in Bitcoin blocks within one year.

Supporters said: Inscriptions are “spam transactions” that consume block space and drive up fees; Bitcoin should focus on being money.

Sounds pretty reasonable, right?

But the problem is—nobody agreed.

Let’s see how this turned into a “farce.”

In July, Michael Saylor published a 10,000-word article listing 110 reasons for opposition. He said BIP-110 was an “iatrogenic proposal for Bitcoin”—a treatment that could cause new harm.

That same month, Blockstream CEO Adam Back directly lashed out, calling it “Idiocracy.” He said the essence of BIP-110 was an attempt to constrain others’ behavior through the consensus layer, which runs completely counter to Bitcoin’s core attributes of decentralization and permissionlessness.

On August 4, Saylor publicly refused to support it, citing a miner support rate of only 2.7% and saying the 55% threshold was “mathematically impossible to reach.”

On August 8, at block 961,632, the fork occurred.

And then?

Then nothing happened.

Data showed that BIP-110 miner signaling support fluctuated between just 0.3% and 2.6%.

No major mining pool publicly supported it. Foundry, AntPool, F2Pool, ViaBTC—all remained silent.

Over the past two weeks, only 2.53% of blocks signaled support.

The 55% threshold? It did not even come close.

The nodes supporting BIP-110 mainly came from users running Bitcoin Knots. The only mining pool to publicly support BIP-110 was Ocean, owned by Luke Dashjr.

One mining pool holding up an entire chain.

Even more absurdly—this fork lacked even basic security protection.

Ledger issued a warning: BIP-110 has no built-in replay protection.

What does that mean?

If you recklessly transfer or trade assets on the fork chain, the real BTC on the main chain could also be transferred away.

Developer Kevin Loaec also warned that selling the forked coins could result in real BTC being stolen.

A forked chain that cannot even guarantee security—and you’re telling me this is “the future of Bitcoin”?

Here’s the painful truth—

BIP-110 went from a “groundbreaking proposal” to being ignored in just 8 months.

Even at its peak, support was below 3%.

A high-profile “Bitcoin fork crisis” ultimately ended with virtually zero support.

Bitcoin was not “split in two”; on the contrary, this proved its ability to “remain united.”

This shows that Bitcoin’s governance mechanism is more robust than anyone imagined.

The dual thresholds of miner signaling and community consensus worked perfectly in this incident.

What is the outcome when a proposal without broad support forcibly forks?

An orphan chain 20 blocks behind the main chain, with only two blocks, that could stop producing blocks at any time.

Because Bitcoin’s difficulty adjustment mechanism depends on stable hashing power, when a minority chain loses sufficient miner support, block generation times can stretch from 10 minutes to several hours or even several days.

This is not a fork. It is a slow death.
