#每周来晒 #10月非农数据聚焦 The Macro Reality: Smashed Projections and Labor Strength
The concrete figures published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) outline an economy that is absorbing tighter financial conditions far better than the consensus modeling had priced in:
• Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) Actual: +165,000 jobs added for the month of October. This marks an explosive upside deviation from Wall Street consensus expectations, which projected a highly conservative expansion of only +59,000.
• The Actual Unemployment Rate: The U.S. unemployment rate clipped down to 4.1%. While the broader cons

#10月非农数据聚焦 Two Numbers Matter More Than the Headline
Friday's October jobs report lands at 8:30 a.m. ET, which is 21:30 Beijing time. Most previews will focus on one number: the headline payroll count. That focus is understandable, but it misses the point. The market reaction will depend on how three figures fit together: job creation, the unemployment rate and wage growth. A strong headline with rising wages can be more bearish for risk assets than a weak headline with stable pay. A weak headline paired with falling unemployment can look better than it sounds.

The consensus is a range, not a number:

Forecasts for October payrolls conflict. CNBC cites a consensus of 55,000 jobs with the unemployment rate at 4.2%. Reuters-based previews point to about 65,000. KPMG expects 45,000, with private payrolls near 50,000 and a small government decline. September's gain was 29,000, and the ADP private estimate for October was 86,000, above the roughly 69,000 economists had expected. The reasonable zone to watch runs from about 45,000 to 65,000. A print inside that band will be read as expected, and the reaction will hinge on revisions and wages.

Why the Fed changes the reading:

The Federal Open Market Committee held its target range at 3.75% to 4.00% on 28 October. Two governors and regional presidents dissented in favor of a quarter-point hike, and no one dissented in favor of an easing. That shifts the conversation. A strong report now raises the odds of a December move higher, because the Fed is debating hikes rather than cuts. Market previews have cited December hike odds above 80%, though those figures move daily, so check the current pricing before relying on them.

This means the usual rule, that good news is bad news for stocks only when it lifts rate expectations, is especially live right now. A hot report pushes yields up and tests equity valuations. A cool report pulls yields down and eases that pressure, but it can also revive worries about slowing growth.

The unemployment rate tells you about slack:

The rate is forecast to hold at 4.2%. A move to 4.3% or higher would signal that more people are looking for work without finding it, which the Fed would read as softening demand. A drop would suggest the labor force is shrinking, which can keep unemployment low even when hiring slows. Watch the household survey and the participation rate alongside the headline.

Wages may matter most for the Fed:

Average hourly earnings are the variable that can turn a soft headline into a hawkish outcome. If pay keeps rising faster than inflation expectations, the Fed has less reason to stop tightening. If wage growth cools while hiring holds up, the case for patience strengthens. The key comparison is wage growth against the Fed's inflation path, not against last month's number.

Revisions can change the story:

The September report cut July and August by a combined 60,000 jobs. Any revision to August or September, up or down, will change how the trend looks. A strong October print that comes with downward revisions is a weaker signal than it first appears.

What I am watching:

The headline against the 45,000 to 65,000 band, the unemployment rate, average hourly earnings, and the revisions to the prior two months. Together, those four numbers will tell you whether the Fed debate tilts toward hikes or pauses.

My view:

A moderate cooling is the outcome most consistent with a steady market. It would keep the labor market firm enough to avoid recession fears and soft enough to ease hike pressure. A hot print with firm wages is the riskier scenario for stocks and Bitcoin, because it pushes real rates up. A very weak print is not automatically bullish either.

Leave your own prediction before 8:30 a.m. ET, then compare it with the actual figures tomorrow.
This is market education, not investment advice. Markets can move sharply on data.

The Biggest De-Grossing Wave in Over a Decade Hits, and Wall Street Hedge Funds Can’t Take the Strain

One of the most brutal sell-offs in U.S. stock market history is pushing the hedge fund industry into a rare systemic stress test.

According to a Morgan Stanley client report, October saw the largest monthly reduction in equity hedge funds’ positions in more than a decade, with their market exposure down about 9% since June. The Nasdaq 100 recently plunged 6.4% in a single day, wiping out about $2.3 trillion in market value, while the VIX “fear index” surged 70%, further intensifying the ind

U.S. stocks suddenly take a turn! Tech stocks are getting hit across the board—is Wall Street really panicking this time?

Tensions in the U.S. stock market have been mounting lately. Tech stocks are under pressure, and investors are starting to reassess the stocks they hold. Tech giants once seen as the market’s engine are now also struggling to escape selling pressure.
Here’s the question: Is this just a normal pullback, or the start of a much larger correction?
Over the past few years, tech stocks—especially AI-related stocks—have attracted a rush of investment, driving valuations ever high

Nonfarm payrolls are out, but markets still haven't settled down! These 3 signals could determine the next move in U.S. stocks

The nonfarm payrolls data is out, but the real test for markets may only just be beginning.
The U.S. added 165k nonfarm jobs in October, and the unemployment rate fell to 4.1%, far exceeding market expectations.
The report has markets reconsidering one question: Is the U.S. economy heading for a soft landing, or is it strong enough to force the Federal Reserve to keep monetary policy tight?
Three signals are worth watching closely next.
First, inflation data. Strong e

The market falls—does bull market conviction still hold? BTC and ETH are putting investors to the test!

In a bull market, everyone is a long-term investor; when the market pulls back, suddenly everyone in your feed becomes a risk management expert! 🤣
Recently, BTC and ETH have weakened alongside broader risk assets, putting considerable pressure on the cryptocurrency market.
This is also a reminder that digital assets are not isolated from the macro environment. When overall risk appetite declines, market liquidity and investor sentiment may both be affected.
In this situation, should you bu

What is the smartest move right now? After BTC falls, perhaps doing nothing is also a move!

When BTC and ETH fall together and the entire crypto market comes under pressure, what is the easiest mistake for investors to make?
It’s not buying too early, and not necessarily selling too late—it’s letting the market lead them by the nose!
They panic as soon as prices drop, then chase the rally when they see a rebound. The result? The market hasn’t made any money yet, but trading fees have already hit their performance targets!😂
In the current market, investors generally have three approaches.

I often hear herbal medicine enthusiasts say this nourishes you, that nourishes you, especially that whole grains nourish you. Haha, cut the crap—what nourishes you? Money nourishes you most. Same goes for food: basically, the more you spend, the more nourishing it definitely is. Bluefin tuna otoro, Wagyu, sturgeon caviar—every one of them is more nourishing than whole grains.

The gold standard for security in crypto? Gate puts its proof of funds front and center!

What does real peace of mind look like?
It’s not a smiling face when the market is up, nor a platform customer service rep saying, “Dear user, rest assured.”
It’s being able to find public information and verification evidence when users want to understand the status of funds! 😂
Gate pioneered proof of funds security, and this move has once again put fund transparency at the center of industry discussion.
Think about it: in the past, when people talked about crypto, they mostly discussed which coin would

$TRUMP experienced approximately $14.27K in long liquidations near $1.19658, highlighting significant pressure on leveraged buyers. The market may continue searching for lower liquidity unless price establishes a strong base and reclaims its immediate resistance. Watch for a potential liquidity sweep followed by a bullish market structure shift.
Support: $1.17 – $1.19
Resistance: $1.22 – $1.25
Next Target: $1.14
Confirmation: A breakdown below support could invite another bearish move, while a sustained reclaim of resistance may trigger a recovery toward the next liquidity zone.

$ZEC recorded approximately $7.72K in short liquidations around $1,350.57, indicating that bearish positions were forced out during the upward move. This suggests potential bullish pressure, although further continuation requires acceptance above resistance. A successful retest could strengthen the possibility of another liquidity expansion.
Support: $1,325 – $1,340
Resistance: $1,365 – $1,390
Next Target: $1,420
Confirmation: Holding support and breaking resistance could attract additional buying momentum. Failure to hold the demand zone may lead to a deeper retracement.

ETH fell harder than BTC! Is a 5.5% drop an opportunity or a warning sign?

This market move is interesting: BTC fell about 4%, while ETH dropped around 5.5%. The big brother is still trying to keep things steady, while the second brother has already hit the deck. Major coins like SOL and XRP also fell, and market risk sentiment clearly cooled.

ETH's larger drop suggests the market's risk tolerance for high-volatility assets is declining. But that doesn't mean ETH's fundamentals suddenly deteriorated, nor can we conclude from a single day's drop alone that capital has completely left.

$XRP Currently at 1.179, down 2.98% over 24H, with a range of 1.1723–1.2233 and trading volume of 64.1203 million. 1H is weak (RSI 35.71, price below EMA20 at 1.1919); 4H is weak (RSI 17.29, price below EMA20 at 1.2291). Volume ratio: 0.16. A sustained hold above the 1.2229 resistance could signal continuation, while a break below the 1.1723 support would weaken the short-term outlook.
