For this kind of market movement, direction is only the first step—the entry position is what matters. The moving-average system for $ROBO had previously diverged bullishly, and ROBO completed a golden cross, with the structure gradually strengthening. So instead of waiting for the price to pull back to a key level, I treated the area near the moving averages as an opportunity to go long. I only took action when both position and direction were aligned.
