The old-guard stocks in my portfolio performed okay today; I didn't lose money.
I thought it over this weekend. I've been stopped out of short-term trades 6 times in the past 2 months, so I'll put that aside for now. Short-term trading can work when the market is good, but when the market is bad and there's no dominant narrative, a sector's run ends quickly—sometimes in two or three days, sometimes in one or two weeks. It's easy to get stopped out trading short term. So I'll stick with a swing-trading approach going forward.
