Core PCE inflation stayed flat instead of falling, while personal consumption and durable goods orders both came in above expectations.
In plain terms, the U.S. economy remains resilient, and inflation has not cooled further, pouring cold water on the market’s hopes for rapid rate cuts.
For gold, the data is bearish, making it difficult for prices to rise sharply in a one-way move in the short term. It will most likely face pressure and trade sideways, so don’t blindly chase longs.
