Why should $PEPE be part of the same discussion as $MEME rather than being ignored by the market?
Because truly great MEMEs never start with a token and then create a story.
PEPE has a history rooted in internet culture; $DEGEN likewise has a real origin, an original creator, an iconic character, and a Meme Economy narrative that predates the token.
Most projects can copy contracts, images, and slogans, but they cannot replicate a history that happened ten years ago.
Of course, it is not PEPE yet. In terms of scale, liquidity, and influence, it is still far behind.
The most regrettable part i

8.10 Suwan’s evening market update
The big brother on the four-hour chart looks just like a cat stubbornly sprawled on the sofa—refusing to budge above the middle Bollinger Band. The bulls and bears are currently locked in an extreme tug-of-war of “whoever blinks first loses.” Until there is a decisive breakout, the market will most likely keep oscillating within a few hundred points in a “fakeout” pattern, mainly testing everyone’s patience.

CLARITY Act Vote Window Closing, What Happens Next for Crypto Regulation
The CLARITY Act has entered one of the most important stages of its journey through the United States Congress. The immediate August window for a full Senate vote has closed, but the legislation remains alive and attention is now shifting toward September. Recent Senate action has kept the bill moving procedurally, creating another important opportunity for lawmakers to debate and potentially advance comprehensive digital asset market structure legislation.

I’ve officially joined the $DOS journey, and today marks an important milestone.
There is something different about participating in a project when you are there from the early stages. You are not simply watching the numbers move or reading announcements—you are actually experiencing the journey, observing how the community grows, and seeing how the project develops step by step.
I’ve personally participated in the DOS pool, and now another significant moment is here: DOS is getting its first listing on Gate.

BIP-110 STALLS AFTER JUST TWO BLOCKS A LIVE LESSON IN BITCOIN CONSENSUS
Bitcoin has delivered a real-time demonstration of how difficult a contested protocol change can be. The BIP-110 soft-fork attempt effectively stalled after its minority chain produced only two blocks following the split at block 961,632.
While the BIP-110 chain struggled to gain traction, the main Bitcoin network continued producing blocks normally. The gap reportedly expanded from around 48 blocks to more than 100, while approximately 99.85% of Bitcoin's hashpower remained on the original chain.
WHAT WAS BIP-110 TRYING TO CHANGE?
BIP-110 proposed a temporary one-year restriction on storing non-financial data, including images and text, inside Bitcoin transactions.
Supporters argued that excessive non-financial data consumes valuable block space, increases costs and can make the network less efficient for users conducting financial transactions.
Opponents viewed the proposal differently, arguing that anyone paying for block space should have broad freedom over how that space is used.
That disagreement became the foundation of the attempted soft fork.
THE SUPPORT NUMBERS TOLD THE STORY
The proposal struggled to build meaningful network support.
Miner signaling reportedly stood at only around 2.5% when the mandatory phase began, while cumulative signaling since May remained extremely small compared with the network's 9,000+ blocks.
The hashpower supporting the proposed chain was also tiny compared with Bitcoin's overall network, which was approaching approximately 940 EH/s.
That imbalance became critical once enforcement began.
HOW DID THE CHAIN SPLIT?
The proposal used a user-activated soft-fork model, similar in concept to the mechanism involved during the contentious SegWit period in 2017.
The idea was that a predefined enforcement point would activate new rules among upgraded economic nodes regardless of broad miner signaling.
But technical enforcement alone does not create an economically viable chain.
For a competing chain to survive, enough miners, nodes, wallets, exchanges and economic users need to recognize and support it.
With almost all hashpower remaining on the original network, the BIP-110 chain had little capacity to maintain momentum.
TWO BLOCKS — THEN A WIDENING GAP
The result was remarkably fast.
After the split at 961,632, the minority chain produced only two blocks before effectively stalling.
Meanwhile, the original Bitcoin chain continued moving forward, causing the block-height difference to expand rapidly.
This is why hashpower distribution mattered more than the proposal's technical ambitions.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Supporters of BIP-110 have not necessarily treated the outcome as the end of the discussion. Some have reportedly considered alternative proof-of-work approaches.
But changing the proof-of-work algorithm would carry a major consequence: it would effectively create a separate cryptocurrency, rather than simply changing Bitcoin's existing chain.
The minority chain is also expected to expire automatically after approximately 52,416 blocks, roughly one year, without requiring another vote.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR BITCOIN HOLDERS?
For ordinary Bitcoin holders, the immediate practical impact is limited.
The main Bitcoin network continues under its existing consensus rules. The brief minority chain has extremely limited economic activity, reducing the real-world significance of concerns such as replay risk.
The key takeaway is therefore not a change to Bitcoin itself, but a demonstration of how consensus works.
THE BIGGER GOVERNANCE LESSON
BIP-110 shows that changing Bitcoin's rules requires more than writing a technically valid proposal.
It requires meaningful coordination between miners, node operators, developers, wallets, exchanges and economic users.
A proposal can attract passionate supporters and still fail if the broader ecosystem does not align behind it.
The rapid collapse of the BIP-110 minority chain is therefore another reminder of Bitcoin's core governance reality:
Consensus cannot simply be declared it has to be adopted.

Once the nonfarm payrolls are released, the market’s “rate-cut game plan” is confiscated on the spot
If the latest nonfarm payrolls data significantly exceeds market expectations, the rate-cut expectations that had been heating up could quickly cool. What capital markets fear most is not weak data, but data so strong that the Federal Reserve has no reason to rush into cutting rates. The resilience of the labor market means the economy is not yet under obvious pressure to lose momentum, leaving the central bank room to maintain relatively tight policy.
The market may have already priced in rate

Stock Trading Challenge Kicks Off—Don’t Let Your Account Balance “Graduate” First!
On the surface, a stock trading sharing challenge seems to be about who can make the most accurate calls, but in reality, it is more like a test of endurance against human nature. Some people get as excited as if they had won the lottery when they see a sharp rise, then panic as if their phone had fallen into a hotpot when they see a pullback. What is truly worth sharing should not just be “how much I made today,” but why you bought, why you sold, and how you handled your mistakes.
