The grueling nature of the recent market action, with repeated back-and-forth tug-of-war, is plain for all to see. There is hardly anything left to complain about. Overhead resistance has repeatedly blocked the bulls’ attempts to push higher, while bearish pressure is gradually easing.
After the CPI data was released, the market failed to trigger a major breakout. Following several rounds of choppy consolidation, the anticipated pullback eventually materialized. Looking back at Wednesday’s session, it was a true roller-coaster ride.
