opBNB mainnet completes Fourier hard fork, block time shortened to 250 milliseconds
PANews January 7 News, according to the official announcement from BNB Chain, opBNB completed the Fourier mainnet hard fork upgrade at 11:00 (UTC+8) on January 7, 2026. The core change merges PR #305, reducing the block interval from 500 milliseconds to 250 milliseconds, significantly improving transaction throughput and confirmation speed. CZ encourages developers to continue building and promote the development of the BNB ecosystem.
