I have education in engineering field and I often look at charts in terms of physics, because very often you can relate and explain it in simpler terms. Force, pressure, area etc. can all help you understand a chart.
Take $altcoins as an example. Analogy here would be in a form of a spring being pushed into strong support/floor. Since that support/area is not going to give in and force keeps getting applied, we get an increase in pressure (pressure=force/area)
Any loss of friction/demand is now going to cause a strong counter move to the opposite direction as pressure will get released, moving
