Sister Xing originally thought there would be a pre-market rally at 5 today, figuring it was trying to recover tonight. She didn’t expect it to weaken before the market even opened.

Sister Xing has been keeping an eye on it. A whale placed a long order around 910, and she thought it wouldn’t get dumped until tomorrow, Friday. Didn’t expect it to start today. It couldn’t even hold 980—looks like the bulls’ defense is very weak.

Stablecoin supply is down 3.6% in a month to $293.7B, which works out to roughly $11B less outstanding.
$USDT and $USDC are both shrinking, so the decline extends across the two biggest issuers.
I’m cautious about calling a sustained recovery because trading can pick up while existing money just moves around faster.
My read is that demand to hold stablecoins could be weakening, though supply alone doesn’t explain why.
The shrinking stablecoin base makes the recovery look less convincing to me.

The foot came off the gas, but the car is still coasting
