Gate Announcement on Delisting VIX Perpetual Futures Trading and Renaming to List VOLX Perpetual Futures

Gate will delist the VIX Perpetual Futures markets on June 8, 2026, 08:00 (UTC). Details below:

Starting June 8, 2026, 07:30 (UTC), the above Futures markets will switch to Reduce-Only mode.

On June 8, 2026, 08:00 (UTC), Gate will settle open positions based on the average Index Price from the 30 minutes before delisting. Any unfilled maker orders will be automatically canceled.

If you have trades in the above marketplaces, please adjust your strategy in advance and close your positions by June 8, 2026, 08:00 (UTC). Otherwise, positions will be settled automatically.

How Settlement Price Is Calculated for Delisted Futures

When a Futures contract is delisted, Gate will automatically liquidate and settle any open positions based on the average Index Price from the last 30 minutes before delisting. If there is significant price volatility during the final 30 minutes, a broader range of average Index Price will be used to prevent losses caused by price manipulation.

At the same time, Gate has renamed the VIX Perpetual Futures trading pairs and officially launched the VOLX Perpetual Futures.

This update only changes the trading symbols. The VOLX Perpetual Futures remain consistent with the original VIX Perpetual Futures in terms of underlying assets and trading rules.
