To further optimize platform functionality and enhance the overall copy trading experience, we will be discontinuing the Prime Traders feature. This adjustment will not affect your use of other copy trading services on the Gate platform, and your assets will remain fully protected throughout the process.
Discontinuation Schedule
Phase 1: Starting June 8, 2026 – No New Prime Traders
The platform will close the Prime Traders enrollment portal. Lead Traders will no longer be able to join or rejoin the Prime Traders program. Existing Prime Trader statuses and Copiers’ Prime Trader settings will remain temporarily active.
Phase 2: Starting June 22, 2026 – Full Discontinuation of Prime Traders Feature
Impact on Copiers
For users currently following Prime Traders, the system will automatically process your previous Prime Trader Settings:
- If you selected “End Copying”: The system will automatically close all copied positions from that Lead Trader and trigger profit-sharing settlement. Any pending profit share will be deducted from the Copier’s account, and the Lead Trader will receive it in the next settlement cycle.
- If you selected “Continue Copying”: Your copy trading status will remain unchanged. The system will not actively close positions or interrupt the copy relationship.
Impact on Prime Traders
- The Prime Trader badge on personal profiles and leaderboards will be removed;
- Additional risk control measures associated with Prime Traders will be disabled. Please monitor your copy trading risks independently;
- If any Copiers choose “End Copying”, their positions will be automatically closed and profit-sharing will be settled. You will receive the corresponding amount in the next profit-sharing settlement cycle.
Your Lead Trader portal and copy trading functions remain unaffected and can continue to be used normally.
Recommended Actions
- To avoid any inconvenience caused by automatic system actions, we recommend checking and managing your copy trading settings in the Copy Trading section before June 22, 2026. Prime Traders may also proactively manage positions or exit Prime Trader status in advance.
