🔥 Anthropic hits a new low at 1647.2! Its IPO valuation has shrunk—is this an opportunity or a trap?

It is now November 3, 2026. Today, I saw Anthropic hit a new low of 1647.2 on GATE.
There has been intense discussion recently about Anthropic’s upcoming IPO, with market rumors putting its valuation ceiling as high as $2 trillion and its floor at $1.5 trillion. The recent price drop has left many people wavering.
But I want to say: I remain firmly bullish on it.
Today, let’s examine the latest fundamental news and break down the truth behind this, looking at valuation logic and the macro environment.
📊 I. Is the lower valuation outlook due to weakening fundamentals or a broader market drag?
The Wall Street Journal reported that last week’s tech stock selloff is changing how institutional investors planning to participate in Anthropic’s IPO value the company.
Over the past few days, these investors have told Anthropic and its advisers that the company should be valued at $1.5 trillion to $1.6 trillion in an IPO later this month, well below the nearly $2 trillion level discussed in the market previously.
This is not because anything has gone wrong with Anthropic itself, but because of the broader tech stock market drag:
• The Nasdaq fell about 10% from its peak last week, nearing correction territory.
• Tech giants suffered steep losses one after another: Intel plunged 29% in a single day, while Alphabet lost about $500 billion in market value after its earnings report.
Amid this pessimism, investors are concerned about excessive AI exposure, political opposition facing data centers, and when hyperscale cloud providers will be able to turn AI spending into profits.
💡 II. A conservative pricing strategy could leave more room for gains after listing
Anthropic has not yet finalized its valuation target or the size of its share sale.
But some investors expect its CFO, Krishna Rao, to adopt a conservative pricing strategy, prioritizing a substantial first-day gain for IPO buyers.
Anthropic is reportedly planning to begin its roadshow as early as next week, with trading targeted to start in the week before Thanksgiving.
I believe “conservative pricing” in the primary market could actually benefit the secondary market. A valuation pulled back from $2 trillion as excess froth comes out would reduce the risk of the stock falling below its IPO price on opening, leaving long-term investors room to get in and profit.
🛡️ III. Strong fundamentals: Secures a partnership with the Singapore government
Set aside the sentiment-driven selloff, and Anthropic’s fundamentals remain exceptionally solid.
Anthropic said in a statement that it has signed a partnership agreement with the Singapore government.
The two sides will work together on AI safety, security, model evaluation, and research.
Against a backdrop of tightening global AI regulation, securing the backing of a national government proves that the company’s core strengths and leading position in “AI safety” remain unshakable.
🎯 IV. My trading plan: The lower it falls, the more bullish I am
In my view, the current price of 1647.2 on GATE is a “golden opportunity” created by macro sentiment.
My trading principle remains the same: don’t let short-term market panic throw you off course.
1. The valuation cut driven by short-term sentiment is an overreaction.
2. The medium- to long-term fundamentals remain solid, and the CFO’s conservative strategy should benefit the stock after listing.
