$17 million, the CLARITY Act’s passage probability is only 18%, and short positions total $5.3 billion.
The long-short battle in crypto is more thrilling than a TV drama.
First, look at the prediction market: the market gives only an 18% chance that the CLARITY Act will be signed into law this year, with most people believing it will fail.
Now look at the exchanges: Short positions across the market total $5.37 billion, $500 million more than long positions. But shorts have already lost $367 million, while longs have instead gained $331 million.

What's Happening with Robinhood Chain Memes?
Robinhood launched the chain in July for tokenized stocks, but what took over the chain was memes.
The data is very clear:
• The Pons platform generated $5.95M in fees in a single day. With this figure, it ranked 4th among all protocols on DefiLlama - leaving Pump.fun ($4.64M) behind and even surpassing the Robinhood Chain it runs on. • On the same day, 25,000 new tokens were launched on Robinhood Chain, with daily DEX volume reaching $544M. • In the correction on September 7th, MEME fell 25.8% in 6 hours, PONS fell 14.8% in 24 hours.
So the hype hasn't cooled down, only leverage and quick profits were flushed out.
What Do the Charts Say? $PONS vs $MEME
$PONS/USDT - Currently: $0.62924 +11.37%
The run that started from $0.10357 on 08/27 topped at $0.97332 on 09/05. Then it had a healthy 46% correction down to the $0.52095 support. Now it has given the first recovery signal by climbing above EMA5 (0.60204) and EMA10 (0.58894). MFI 54.61 - neither overbought nor oversold, a perfect accumulation zone. With 24h volume of 32.67M PONS and $18.4M turnover, it is still the most liquid asset on the chain.
$MEME/USDT - Currently: $0.0005353 -1.62%
A more speculative structure. After the $0.0005789 top, it had a sharp wick to $0.0004906 (15%+ flash crash) and is still struggling to recover. 7-day performance is -4.51%, today is also -0.50% negative. There is volume (36.98M) but turnover is only $19.81K - meaning whale exits create deep drops.
My Pick: $PONS for Buying the Dip - Why?
There are two types of coins in the meme market: Story and Infrastructure.
$MEME is a story. The community is strong but it has no revenue, no burn, no utility. It's purely sentiment-driven.
$PONS is infrastructure. What Pump.fun did on Solana, Pons is doing on Robinhood Chain.
1. It charges a 1% fee on every transaction, leaving 70% to the creator and 30% to the protocol. 2. With the money left in the protocol treasury, it buys back PONS from the market and burns it. According to its documentation, 29% of the circulating supply (293M PONS) has already been burned. 3. The platform has produced 646,000 tokens from 167,000 unique creators. This means a new wave can come after every dip.
That's why choosing $PONS in this dip is like buying shares of the meme coin factory, not a meme coin itself. Even if the hype ends, the factory keeps printing money.
This is a shakeout. Weak hands have been washed out, fees are still in the millions. I'm not staying on the sidelines, I'm gradually accumulating the dip on the PONS side.

10 Building Blocks of the CLARITY Act
1. Network Token and Ancillary Asset Rules
Defines when a token is considered a “digital commodity” rather than a security. Under the House bill, a blockchain is considered “mature” if it meets the following conditions:
- Functional in practice.
- Uses open-source code.
- Operates under transparent, pre-established rules.
- Not controlled by an individual or group holding 20% or more of the token supply.
The Senate version instead uses a “coordinated control” standard, so the 20% threshold may change.
2. DeFi and Protocol Control

The Real CPI Question Is Not “Up or Down?”
The market's biggest mistake after major macro data is focusing only on the number.
CPI is important, but markets are forward-looking.
Investors are constantly asking:
What will the Fed do next?
Where are Treasury yields heading?
Are financial conditions tightening or easing?
Is economic growth slowing?
And most importantly:
How much of this is already priced in?
That final question can completely change the market reaction.
A softer CPI print can be bullish, but if the market already expected it, the upside reaction m

Global oil markets are back in focus as Brent and WTI crude oil prices move above the $100-per-barrel level, marking a significant development for the global economy and financial markets.
Oil remains one of the world’s most important commodities, influencing transportation costs, manufacturing, inflation, corporate earnings, and consumer prices. When crude prices rise sharply, investors often reassess expectations for inflation and interest rates, creating potential ripple effects across equities, currencies, commodities, and digital assets.

The “extremely narcissistic” remarks have once again been debunked by Iran! BTC successfully broke above the descending trendline after the U.S. stock market opened last night, but failed to hold above 78,000. It was clearly a false breakout followed by a drop to lure in longs. It is still oscillating within the range, and the direction may only be confirmed after the Fed’s rate decision is announced at 2 a.m. on the 17th! Until then, focus on selling into strength and buying on dips within the narrow range! Support below: 76000; resistance above: 79800.

🔥 GATE IS ALREADY TOP 4 — NOW THE REAL QUESTION IS HOW HIGH CAN IT GO?
When I look at the latest August mainstream CEX rankings, one number immediately catches my attention: Gate at #4 globally.
According to the August data highlighted by BlockBeats, Gate recorded approximately $40B in spot trading volume and around $285B in derivatives trading volume.
That means roughly $325B of combined spot and derivatives activity for the month based on those reported figures.
For me, this is much more than a ranking.
It is evidence that Gate has developed enough liquidity, trading activity, products and global participation to compete directly with the largest centralized exchanges.
And now I think the more interesting question is:
Can Gate move from Top 4 into Top 3? 👀
I believe it can.
📊 THE MOMENTUM IS WHAT REALLY MATTERS
A single monthly ranking can change quickly, so I pay even more attention to the underlying trend.
Earlier June data showed Gate’s spot trading volume rising approximately 50.8% to $66.1B, while its spot market share increased by 1.55 percentage points to 5.95%.
That was particularly important because Gate was gaining market share rather than simply benefiting from a bigger overall market.
This is the kind of growth I watch closely.
More volume + higher market share = stronger competitive positioning.
And Gate has been showing exactly that direction.
⚡ DERIVATIVES ARE A BIG PART OF THE STORY
The approximately $285B derivatives volume in August also deserves serious attention.
Crypto traders today need much more than basic spot markets. They want futures, hedging tools, leverage, advanced execution and opportunities in both bullish and bearish conditions.
Earlier June figures also showed Gate with roughly 9.52% derivatives market share and around 9.20% of total open interest.
That tells me Gate's derivatives business is not a side feature.
It is becoming a major part of the ecosystem.
🌐 GATE IS BUILDING MORE THAN AN EXCHANGE
Another reason I remain interested in Gate is the expansion beyond traditional crypto trading.
Spot markets, derivatives, Earn products, staking-related opportunities, broader asset access and new financial products are gradually creating a more complete ecosystem.
The strongest exchanges of the future may not simply be the ones with the highest volume.
They could be the platforms that give users more reasons to stay inside one ecosystem.
And that is where Gate has an interesting opportunity.
💎 AND THEN THERE IS GT
GT is another part of this story.
Around the $9.1–$9.2 area, I see an important technical battle developing.
The $9.00–$9.15 region is a key psychological/support area, while $9.40–$9.50 represents an important resistance zone.
If GT can reclaim $9.40–$9.50 with stronger momentum, $10 becomes an obvious psychological level.
From approximately $9.15:
➡️ $10 = about +9.3%
➡️ $11 = about +20%
➡️ $12 = about +31%
➡️ $13 = about +42%
These are scenarios, not guaranteed targets.
For me, the bigger question is whether Gate's ecosystem continues expanding.
🏆 TOP 4 IS NOT THE FINISH LINE
A Top 4 position requires real users, liquidity, infrastructure, products and market participation.
But I don't see Top 4 as Gate's final destination.
I see it as a launchpad for the next challenge.
To reach Top 3, Gate needs consistency.
One strong month creates attention.
Several strong months create a trend.
Sustained growth creates leadership.
🔥 MY TAKE
Gate has already shown that it can compete with the biggest names in the CEX industry.
Now the challenge is simple to describe, but difficult to achieve:
Turn Top 4 into Top 3.
If Gate continues increasing spot activity, strengthening derivatives liquidity, gaining market share, expanding products and maintaining strong security and infrastructure, I believe that competition can become very interesting.
Top 4 today.
Top 3 tomorrow?
I would not underestimate Gate. 🚀
