#ShareWeekly #WarshIMFSpeech Warsh said nothing, and the market loved it: what Bangkok really told us about rates and BTC
Sometimes the loudest message from a central banker is the one he refuses to send. In Bangkok, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh sat down with IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva and gave traders no hint about the next rate move. The result was a relief bounce across dollars, stocks and crypto. Here is my read on the two questions everyone is asking.
Hawkish or dovish? Neither, and that is the story
Warsh stuck to price stability and refused to prejudge upcoming meetings. He also skipped fo

It’s been falling for a full week, but the price is stuck in the middle and just won’t break down. That’s not weakness—it’s strength👀 OI has quietly ticked up over the past four hours, and buying support hasn’t let up. If 81590 holds, bulls are scooping up supply. Don’t wait until it starts pumping to chase; once it really takes off, there’ll be no entry.

Prediction markets indicate that 80000~85000 is expected to be the main battleground for BTC prices in October, with nearly equal market probabilities of falling below 80000 and rising above 85000, leaving bulls and bears locked in a tense standoff; a push to 87500 is a low-probability event that would require a strong positive catalyst

After liquidating over $110 million in long positions, big players suddenly unleash a 6.7x surge in inflows! A counterattack to liquidate shorts or a bull trap?
“K-lines are drawn for retail investors to see; fund flows are the big players’ hole cards. In crypto, surviving is 10,000 times more important than making more.”
Personal take: The latest news from last night through today has been one liquidation after another. First, that whale who was liquidated for $110 million missed triggering a stop-loss at 80500 by just $184, eventually cutting losses of 3.26 million and turning around to buy
People are loudly calling it a Black Monday, but with crude breaking $100, AI stocks getting crushed, bank stocks getting hammered, the VIX at a four-month high, yields spiking, and inflation still running hot, it’s definitely a rough mix. My take: watch for panic selling at the open. If the market really dumps, that could be a chance to scoop up bargains. What do you think?

#GateBTCAndETHFuturesVolumeRanksTop3 Gate BTC and ETH Futures Volume Ranks Top 3: What Is Driving the Market?
Big money does not move through the crypto market without leaving clues. One of the most important clues traders watch is futures trading volume.
Bitcoin and Ethereum remain at the center of the cryptocurrency derivatives market, and Gate's reported top-three ranking in BTC and ETH futures volume highlights the importance of its role in this highly competitive trading environment.
But what does a top-three ranking actually tell us? And why should ordinary crypto traders pay attention?

Bitcoin is trading around the $82,000 area, but it is not comfortably above it. It fell to about $80,000 on October 15 after hot CPI and PPI data, then rallied sharply on October 17. Treat the level as a zone, not a settled breakout. Here is the post in English, with no hashtags, no stars, no tables or charts, and no banned terms.
Bitcoin Price Analysis for Monday, October 19, 2026: Can BTC Hold Above $82,000?
Bitcoin has been the center of attention this month, and the reason is simple. After weeks of trying to climb back toward the upper $80,000s, BTC has been pushed and pu

BITCOIN AT $81,621.6: CPI SHOCK, CRITICAL SUPPORT, AND THE ROAD AHEAD
Bitcoin is navigating a critical phase after slipping below the $82,000 level. With BTC currently trading at $81,621.6, the market is balancing renewed inflation concerns, changing Federal Reserve expectations, and uncertainty surrounding leveraged positions. The key question is whether buyers can stabilize the market or whether Bitcoin will face another test near $80,000.

#BTC跌破8.2万 Bitcoin at $81,570: Has the CPI Shock Been Priced In, or Is $80,000 the Next Test?
Bitcoin’s move below $82,000 has shifted the market’s focus from the possibility of a $90,000 rally to the strength of the current support structure. Trading near $81,570, BTC is facing a combination of renewed US inflation pressure, changing Federal Reserve expectations, and uncertainty over leveraged positioning. The critical distinction is whether the market has already absorbed the inflation shock or whether another round of selling could follow.
September CPI Changed the Macro Picture
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that headline CPI increased 3.7% year over year in September, accelerating from 3.4% in August. Monthly inflation reached 0.6%, compared with 0.4% previously. Core CPI, excluding food and energy, rose 2.6% annually and 0.3% monthly.
Energy was a major contributor. Gasoline prices climbed 9.1% in September, accounting for more than half of the monthly increase in headline CPI. The energy index advanced 5.2% during the month, while shelter costs increased 0.4%.
These figures complicate the outlook for monetary easing. Persistent inflation can keep interest rates restrictive for longer, potentially supporting the dollar and Treasury yields while reducing investors’ appetite for risk-sensitive assets.
However, the inflation report does not automatically guarantee another rate hike. The Fed must evaluate incoming economic data, employment conditions, and the persistence of price pressures before determining its next move.
Why BTC Fell Below $82,000
Bitcoin’s decline reflects the sensitivity of crypto valuations to macroeconomic expectations. When inflation exceeds forecasts, markets may reassess the timing of rate cuts or the possibility of further tightening. Higher expected borrowing costs can make speculative positions less attractive, particularly when leverage is elevated.
Market reporting following the CPI release showed Bitcoin falling to approximately $80,247 before trading around $80,743 in the subsequent session. BTC has since approached the $81,570 level referenced here, but a recovery from the lows alone does not confirm a trend reversal.
The key question is whether buyers are returning through sustained spot demand or whether the rebound is primarily driven by short covering. These two scenarios can produce similar price action initially but have different implications for durability.
The $81,000–$80,000 Support Test
At approximately $81,570, Bitcoin is close to an important psychological area. The $81,000 region deserves attention as a near-term reference, while $80,000 is the next major round-number level traders may monitor if selling pressure resumes.
A sustained recovery above $82,000, supported by stronger spot volume and improving market breadth, would help repair the short-term structure. If BTC repeatedly fails to reclaim that level, sellers may retain control and the market could revisit lower support.
A break below $80,000 would increase downside risk, but it would not automatically establish a prolonged bearish trend. Confirmation would require examining subsequent price acceptance, trading volume, and whether buyers defend the breakdown area.
These levels are technical reference points, not guaranteed turning points.
Liquidations and Leverage: The Hidden Risk
During sharp declines, leveraged long positions can face liquidation as collateral becomes insufficient. Forced selling can amplify downward momentum, creating a feedback loop in which falling prices trigger further position closures.
Open interest helps distinguish between different forms of selling pressure. If BTC declines while open interest contracts sharply, traders may be closing positions or being liquidated. If open interest rises during the decline, new positions may be entering the market, although the direction of those positions cannot be established from open interest alone.
Funding rates provide additional context. Persistently positive funding during weakening price action may indicate that long exposure remains crowded. A reduction in funding and leverage could help stabilize market conditions, but it would not independently confirm a bottom.
Is the CPI Shock Already Priced In?
Markets often react to the difference between expectations and actual data, not simply to whether a headline looks positive or negative. Some of the inflation risk may already be reflected in Bitcoin’s decline, but that cannot be established from price alone.
If Treasury yields stabilize, the dollar loses momentum, and BTC reclaims $82,000 with credible spot demand, the market could begin recovering from the initial shock. If inflation concerns intensify and leveraged positions continue unwinding, $80,000 may come into focus instead.
The most important signal is confirmation across macroeconomic conditions, spot activity, and derivatives positioning.
At $81,570, Bitcoin is at a decision point rather than a confirmed bottom. Preserving capital, controlling leverage, and waiting for price confirmation are more defensible approaches than assuming either an immediate rebound or an inevitable breakdown.

$950 million in long positions wiped out! Tech earnings week, crypto is staging a “battle royale”
About $950 million in leveraged positions were liquidated over the past 24 hours, 90% of them longs. Bitcoin has seesawed between $80k and $85k, while ETFs have seen net outflows of about $910 million for two straight weeks. This isn’t an ordinary pullback—it’s capital voting with its feet amid macro uncertainty.
My take: The crypto market has become entirely “news-driven.” New products unveiled at Nvidia’s GTC conference failed to lift its share price, which instead fell 3.35%, while markets are
