U.S. CPI came in above expectations, global stock markets are all falling, with fewer than one-fourth of countries seeing their stock markets rise.
South Korea fell the most, down 7.57%, triggering a circuit breaker today. Next was the Nikkei, down 4.90%.
China’s A-shares were not spared either, with the Shanghai Composite down 1.59% and the Shenzhen Component down 2.43%.
The influence of the United States is still too great. Let’s see how U.S. stocks perform at tonight’s open.

The U.S. midterm elections have a nearly century-old curse: U.S. stocks tend to fizzle out!
With less than a month to go until the U.S. midterm elections on November 3, Capital Group backtested U.S. stock performance since 1931:
It found that the S&P 500 delivered an average return of just 4.7% in midterm election years, compared with 9.5% in other years—nearly twice as much.
Policy uncertainty rises before elections, making markets prone to volatility, but trends often reverse after the elections end.
This pattern is even more interesting when applied to Bitcoin.

Tonight’s PPI release—I’m less interested in “how much further inflation has fallen” than in whether U.S. stocks are actually willing to buy into it.
If PPI cools broadly, pressure on the market’s expectations for the subsequent interest-rate path will ease somewhat, which would of course be more favorable for long-duration, high-valuation assets like $NVDA and $AMD ; but if core components remain hot, or if the decline in the data actually reflects weak demand, tech stocks may not be able to comfortably benefit from the “cooling inflation” tailwind.

BTC: Short-term holder profit and loss momentum indicator
Profit momentum measures the acceleration of short-term profit-taking relative to the one-year normal: it is calculated by dividing realized profits by realized losses of short-term holders, then dividing the 7-day average of that ratio by the 365-day average. A value above 1 indicates that recent profit-taking is faster than the one-year normal.

The 7-day profit/loss ratio is approximately 1.70, and the 365-day average is approximately 1.59; relative to the 180-day p

U.S. PPI rose to 6.3% year-on-year in September and increased 1.3% month-on-month, once again surpassing market expectations.

With inflation continuing to heat up, will the Federal Reserve remain on hold in October?
For traders, more important than correctly guessing the data is knowing how to adjust their strategy after market conditions change.
💬 Are you currently more inclined to reduce positions and seek safety, look for opportunities to buy the dip, or wait for the market to stabilize?

U.S. September CPI rose 3.7% year over year (expected 3.6%), while core CPI rose 2.6% year over year (expected 2.5%). Both exceeded expectations, marking the largest increase in five months. After the data was released, Bitcoin rapidly fell from $84,000 to below $82,000, Ethereum weakened in tandem, and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield rose to 5.329% intraday.
Rapid evolution in market pricing: After the CPI release, the probability of an October rate hike briefly surged from 22% to 53.7%, but then Fed officials Daly, Goolsbee, and Bowman successively said they were “in no hurry to act in Octob

The previous PPI reading is often revised upward—will it happen again this time?
I have always paid attention to one detail in the PPI data—the revision to the previous reading.
Looking back at this year's data, April's PPI rose 6% year over year, with the previous reading revised from 4.00% to 4.3%. May's PPI rose 1.1% month over month, with the previous reading revised from 1.40% to 1.1%. August's PPI rose 5.4% year over year, with the previous reading revised from 4.70% to 4.8%.
With every data release, the previous reading is revised. Sometimes upward, sometimes downward. But upward revisi

$BTC Build a position in batches while prices are low to reduce investment risk. The AI futures grid bot strategy splits funds into multiple portions and buys and sells at different price levels. Compared with investing all at once, it can effectively diversify risk and is particularly suitable for emerging assets such as cryptocurrencies with high volatility. US September PPI came in at 6.3% YoY, well above the 5.3% market expectation, pointing to renewed producer-side inflation pressure. Weekly jobless claims were 199K, broadly in line with forecasts. Could hotter inflation further reduce room for rate cuts, and what does it mean for $BTC, US stocks, and gold?
