I went long BTC and shorted the ETF yesterday. I closed my BTC position before the surge, while the ETF hit my add-on price and then went straight to my stop-loss.
Small wins and big losses. It feels like my profits never reach the add-on point, while reaching the add-on point often means a stop-loss is imminent. Should I stop adding to positions in the future?
After doubling my ETF position and withdrawing my principal, I didn’t lower the stop-loss price. That was probably another reason for the loss, and I also held it overnight.
Making a note of this—I hope I won’t make the same mistake aga
