UK is starting to look like the dystopian society in V for Vendetta.
Authoritarian regime led by big brother. Ban free speech to prevent "racism." Say the wrong thing, get arrested.
Ban social media to protect the kids but make everyone register.
Then ban VPN so you can't avoid it and effectively close off the internet.
Make internet the false flag while your ppl get pillaged by rampant migrants.
Not sure if I really believe this "safety" angle.
Social media needs to be regulated for children so they aren't brainwashed, just not sure how. But best of luck to yall.

i think claude is overhyped and generally has been degraded since opus 4.6 in february.
im sure the models are better at coding and specific problem/solutions, but they throttle all of that and the prompting and ingestion side has gotten so bad, such that claude deflects effort on front-end to save compute on the backend.
tldr; lot of marketing, tools worse, lots of cheeky ways to ensure you never actual use the compute and they save money. and its getting more political correct or sassy on topics worth debate, just sad.
i hope to see chatgpt and grok catch up so we can stop playing these

We’ve increased spend on healthcare, childcare, education, homeless and any other issue the Left cares about non stop for 50 years.
Yet no one gets better.
At what point will stop believing the bs and stop making villains out of the builders who are the only reason you have modern comforts.

People that glaze themselves the hardest or post some esoteric, abstract post of their success are the ones most likely larping.
You'd do better to ignore them and/or block them, especially crypto bros. Most are unqualified and making you into exit liquidity.

If you think there's no Manhattan Project for AI running in parallel, you're naive.
The question isn't whether OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, or anyone else wins. The question is whether a serious government would allow its most strategic capability to depend on a company, founder, board, cloud provider, or vendor it doesn't fully control.
Of course it won't.
You don't outsource nuclear command systems. You don't outsource intelligence collection. You don't outsource the technologies that determine national power.
The game theory is straightforward. If AI capabilities diffuse quickly, building sovere

Reminded every day how lucky we are that Biden and Kamala aren't writing AI policy. Often reminded by Marc Andreessen's clip w/ Joe Rogan.
A team up with Dario and they would think a handful of people should dictate AI behind closed doors and dictate what the world is allowed to have.
Pretty totalitarianism in my view.
It also gives a glimpse into the populace that's gone anti-AI. I think they're wrong. But they're right if the worldview is the one we just saw with Mythos launch.
The man pretends to be a white knight and then plays both sides.
Says AI is too dangerous for open competition, so

Anthropic’s Mythos launch made it official. We’re the permanent underclass.
They neutered our tools, put them on a leash, and called it “safety”.
It’s insane with the overreach. But definitely giving insiders unrestricted access for months.
It’s ok for mega corps, they’ve definitely never done anything wrong.
Big pharma never got a generation addicted to pain meds.
Water companies never max extracted on prices.
All while lobbying the government to regulate the market so only they can afford to compete.
They say AI is for everyone.
Then censor the model so you learn only what they allow. Ma

Every respectable country on this planet requires ID and verification for voting.
To me there are only two plausible reasons that the United States of America is against it:
- we are a backwater, underdeveloped country taken over by foreign interests
- the ruling elite know they can manipulate votes to stay in power
My gut says the latter. There is no logical explanation otherwise. It’s not racist or disenfranchisement. If you think that your mind is cooked and seek help.
Thanks.

California: the most accessible election in America. Also the easiest to attack and commit fraud.
California spent the last year in federal court fighting to stop the Justice Department from inspecting its voter rolls. They won.
I'm not alleging fraud. But if there were, no one could catch it or prove it. That's the problem with the system they built.
You would have to be a fool to look at this and be ok with it.
They mail a ballot to every active voter, regardless if you want it, it happens automatically at the DMV.
You don't need to show ID. So the person voting and the name on the file nev

Chicago lost the Bears this week. A team that's been in the city since 1921.
They didn't lose them to a bigger market or a better deal. The Bears decided they'd rather be a tenant in Indiana than deal with Illinois for one more year.
Think about how badly you have to run a place for that to be the smart move.
They lost them for two reasons.
The people running Illinois would rather villainize a builder than keep one. And they're bad at their jobs.
In 2021 the Bears spent $197M on the old Arlington Park racetrack.
Before they could break ground, Cook County valued the empty lot at $192M (Bears

Everyone says California has safe and secure elections. But you can't even ask for ID when casting ballots.
I am all for trust but you need to prove we can trust you. Because many of us all believe the government is power hungry and corrupt.
And there multiple infractions. So ya, don't blame people when they question the system.

We have reached the point where its worth muting Kalshi and Polymarket accounts for their dumb, incessant clickbait posting to shill markets on the dumbest things. Prediction markets are gambling markets. They use clickbait headlines to get retail to bet on the dumbest things and swings.
Ray Dalio says when people sell, prices will go down. AI bubble will pop.
Spencer Pratt could get flipped by Nithya Raman if she captures 16%+ spread on the mail-in-votes; odds show Nithya winning.
5 minutes later...odds show Spencer winning, bet now.
10 minutes later...what if voter fraud, bet on voter frau

California's election system is a joke. A state that would be the 4th largest economy on earth if it stood alone, run into the ground. Can't even count ballots in a day.
Gavin Newsom spends more time virtue signaling and morphing into whatever muppet the week needs than doing anything for the state.
There are elections in California today. Last time they counted, it took them a month.
India counted 642 million votes in a day. California can't count 22 million. The 2024 race wasn't certified until December 13th.
A country where millions don't have running water, reliable electricity or toilets

You get one life. The only thing that matters is what you do with it. Go do the thing. Live it.
Bernie Sanders is the anti-life. Because he represents the person who never does. Who spends the one life he got watching other people live theirs and resenting them for it. Whining instead of acting. Taking instead of making. Looking sideways at everyone else instead of forward at his own shot.
That’s communism. Never happy.
Don’t be Bernie.

Crypto is down because the valuations were insane, 99% of coins were vaporware ponzis, and the opportunity cost is high.
There are like 5 projects people organically use, that generate revenue and value accrual goes to token holders.
The rest is literally a ponzi.
