82 million smartphones — potential gateways to the world of stablecoins.
Samsung is preparing USDC transfers directly through Samsung Wallet for Galaxy users in the US. Users will be able to send money to crypto wallets and bank accounts in more than 60 countries, with payouts in local currency.
The launch is scheduled for the last week of October. No separate crypto app will be needed.
Now this is more interesting than yet another promise that “crypto will change the world”: it simply appears where people already store their cards and send money.#USDC #SOL #SUI #RisingStarLaunch

The protocol was silent for 36 days. Then someone took $165 000 because of an interest calculation error.
A vulnerability was discovered in the BiFi lending protocol: an error in the interest calculation allowed accrued interest from a period of market inactivity to be counted again. An MEV bot beat the original attacker to it and withdrew around $165 600. But then came an unexpected twist: according to researchers, the bot returned approximately $159 000 in USDC. In DeFi, even a rescuer can sometimes look like a hacker. And an error in a formula can cost more than months of auditing.#BiFi #De

Visa wants you to pay for coffee with crypto, not just watch its price.
Visa and Mesh announced a partnership: users of supported crypto wallets will be able to pay with cryptocurrency and stablecoins across Visa’s network—without a separate crypto card. Mesh will handle the conversion at checkout, and the merchant will receive a regular payment. Visa’s network spans more than 175 million merchant locations. But there’s a catch: the list of supported wallets and the launch date have not yet been announced. The next level of crypto adoption is when buying coffee no longer requires explaining to

Down $469,000 on an ETH short. What does the trader do? Opens another $16 million short.
On Hyperliquid, a large trader had part of their Ethereum short positions forcibly closed. The realized loss was around $469,000, excluding fees. But instead of stopping, they added to the position again. At the latest check, the short stood at approximately $16.2 million with 25x leverage. When the market disagrees with your prediction, you can reconsider your analysis. Or you can decide the market simply hasn’t been given enough explanation.#ETH #Hyperliquid #Trading #RisingStarLaunc

USD1 lost $400 million in market capitalization. But its dollar peg is holding for now.
World Liberty Financial's stablecoin shrank from $4.43 billion to $4.02 billion over two weeks — about 9%.
The reason was large token redemptions on Ethereum and BNB Chain. At the same time, USD1 continued to trade around $1. In other words, money was flowing out en masse, but the dollar peg held. Now the most interesting question isn't the price chart, but why large holders decided to exit right now?#USD1 #Stablecoins #Crypto #RisingStarLaunch

Qubic had $1.4 million stolen. The entire blockchain had to be shut down.
The attacker drained more than 1,400 wallets by exploiting a vulnerability in the generation of the secret phrases used to access them.
The Qubic team halted the network. According to its data, 87.1% of the stolen tokens remained on the blockchain, and some funds were frozen on an exchange.
The irony is that the problem was not with the blockchain itself, but with the way the wallets were created. Sometimes security breaks down before the first transaction.#QUBIC #CryptoSecurity #RisingStarLaunch

In DeFi, they found a “Create 10 million tokens” button. And someone pressed it.
Cysic’s cross-chain bridge was hacked, and 10 million CYS were minted without authorization. The attacker managed to sell most of the tokens and withdraw about $727,000 in ETH before the address was blocked.
The team halted the bridge. It said the main networks and users’ existing funds were unaffected.
The most unpleasant part? You can spend years checking a blockchain for security, only for the problem to turn out to be in the mechanism that’s supposed to simply move tokens between networks.

USDC enters new markets: stablecoins aim to become everyday money
Circle plans to enter around 40 new emerging and developing markets. Its CEO Jeremy Allaire said this in an interview with Reuters on October 16. The focus is primarily on regions in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, where demand for digital payments and dollar stablecoins is growing. The scale is already significant: USDC in circulation reached $73.3 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up 19% from a year earlier. Reuters estimates that Circle holds about a quarter of the global stablecoin market, wh

DeFi promises up to 20% annual returns. Somewhere in the corner, a person who lost their deposit smiles nervously
The crypto market has come up with a new way to put money to work: lending vaults—repositories that pool users’ funds and deploy them in various lending strategies. According to the Financial Times, the amount of funds in these crypto vaults has exceeded $10 billion. Returns on some strategies start at around 3% and can exceed 20% annually. Sounds tempting. Especially when simply holding crypto brings you exactly nothing except the need to watch red candles. But here’s the catch: r

Deutsche Bank is preparing to enter the crypto custody market. What will this change?
Germany’s largest bank is preparing to launch a digital asset custody service. Reuters reported on October 16 that the launch is expected in the coming weeks, initially in Germany. In 2027, the bank plans to expand into Asian financial markets. The first phase will cover the custody of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Later, the bank intends to expand its services to include stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and the issuance of digital bonds. Why does this matter? Large companies and financial institutions need more than

Bitcoin has been sitting idle for years. Sui offers to put it to work
Usually, a crypto investor buys BTC and waits. Sometimes for a year, sometimes for three. And sometimes they believe in its long-term prospects so much that they forget why they opened the chart in the first place. Against this backdrop, Hashi has emerged—a project in the Sui ecosystem developing financial tools backed by real Bitcoin. This means lending, borrowing, and other financial products where BTC can be used as capital rather than simply held on a balance sheet. According to Sui, before the mainnet launch, the projec

The tokens were locked on a schedule. The hacker decided not to wait for the unlock
A DeFi story unfolded that sounds like a mockery of the very idea of token locks. UNCX’s Vesting V2 contracts ran into a problem—a mechanism designed to release tokens gradually on a predetermined schedule. Blockaid estimates that losses from the attack and subsequent related transactions reached approximately $1.49 million across four networks: BNB Chain, Ethereum, Robinhood Chain, and Base. And this is where things get unpleasant. Other wallets and automated trading bots soon joined in, increasing the scale o

USDC Gets a New Status in Europe. A New Phase Begins for Stablecoins
The European Banking Authority has classified USDC as the European Union’s first “significant electronic money token” under MiCA regulation. From November 12, 2026, oversight of USDC in certain areas will be conducted jointly by the European regulator EBA and the French supervisory authority ACPR. This includes requirements for reserves, liquidity, own funds, and token recovery and redemption plans. Why does this matter? Stablecoins have long since stopped being just a way to wait out a market downturn. They are used for trad

Wall Street Is Tokenizing Government Bonds. And This Is No Longer Just a Presentation
BNY and Citadel Securities carried out a transaction involving a tokenized two-year U.S. Treasury bond. According to BNY, the digital representation of the security was recorded on the bank’s private digital ledger and settled within minutes instead of the usual T+1 settlement cycle. The bond was then used as collateral for a short-term repo transaction—in essence, to obtain funds against the security. Why does this matter? In traditional finance, a security may be purchased today while final settlement under

While the trader is thinking, AI has already paid for the next request
It seems the crypto market has gained a new type of user. They don’t sleep, panic at red candles, or write “so, will there be a rebound?” in the chat. They are AI agents. According to a Chainalysis study, more than 138 million crypto transactions related to payments for digital AI services were processed through the x402 protocol on the Base network. Agents can automatically purchase access to models, data, and computing resources. The most interesting part: more than 87% of the analyzed payments amounted to anywhere from f
Aptos is trying to hide your trades from bots
Imagine this: you are about to buy a token, you send a transaction, and a bot spots it before it is executed, buys the asset ahead of you, and sells it after you at a higher price. You get a worse price, while the bot makes a profit. This is one version of the so-called sandwich attack.Aptos has launched Encrypted Mempool on mainnet—a feature that allows the details of pending transactions to be hidden until the order in which they will be executed is determined. The idea is to prevent bots from easily peeking at a trade and using that information

NFT market: first they promised a revolution, now they’re shutting down the website
Remember when pictures selling for millions of dollars seemed normal? The NFT industry has another piece of news: Blur, one of the largest NFT marketplaces, is set to shut down its website on November 12. But there’s a catch: the website itself will disappear, while the blockchain marketplace will continue operating. In other words, this is not a complete shutdown of the protocol, but the closure of its familiar interface. Another blow is the winding down of new loans through Blend, the NFT-collateralized lendi
