As soon as withdrawals resumed after the security incident, the press release made it sound like they were handing out year-end bonuses, as if the whole internet had been waiting for this day. And the result? I glanced at the chart and nearly blacked out. The bullish news landed, and the price acted like nothing had happened, just sitting there, completely unmoved.

What the hell, who’s winning here? Where’s the bullish news we were promised? Where’s the promised access to our assets? People were already lining up at the door—where’s the money? That’s it?

Throughout the first half of November, my initial bias is toward an upward rebound. This sharp 5,000-point rally hasn’t seen much of a pullback. There are a lot of underwater short positions around 77,000 and 78,000 below, so the price probably won’t drop smoothly anytime soon. With expectations for U.S. stocks to open higher tonight, I figured the price would first dip to around 795 and then rise—but it almost went straight up.

First real commercial transaction in Europe is now complete. A jewelry store in Italy accepted USDC and received EUR through RIV X.
