Tether's Fortress: How $6.8 Billion in Extra Reserves Changes Everything for USDT and the Whole Crypto Market

Let us talk about one of the most important questions ever asked about crypto: is Tether actually backed? For years people doubted, spread fear, and warned of a collapse that never came. Now we have the clearest answer yet, official audited numbers that confirm Tether's reserves exceed its liabilities by approximately 6.8 billion dollars. That is not a small cushion. That is a fortress wall of extra capital sitting on top of the full reserve th

Lido has introduced NEST, a mechanism designed to directly connect protocol revenue with $LDO demand.
Once annualized staking revenue exceeds $40M, 50% of the excess revenue goes toward buying $LDO through CoW Swap.
Initially:
• Daily buyback limit: $50K
• 365-day cap: $10M
• Bought $LDO goes directly to the DAO treasury
• No token burn for now
If revenue falls below the $40M benchmark and the accumulated balance turns negative, buybacks automatically pause until revenue recovers.
Lido says its backtest using $94.18M of 2024–25 reward income would have generated roughly $7.09M in $LDO buybacks

#Web3SecurityGuide The Biggest Risk Is Often the Human Layer
THE SECURITY NUMBERS ARE GETTING HARDER TO IGNORE
Web3 security is no longer only about smart-contract bugs or blockchain vulnerabilities. The first half of 2026 shows how quickly attackers are adapting. CertiK recorded more than $1.31 billion in losses across 344 Web3 security incidents, with approximately $1.20 billion remaining after frozen and recovered funds were accounted for.

WEB3 SECURITY IN 2026: THE BIGGEST RISK MAY BE HUMAN ERROR
Web3 security is no longer just a question of whether blockchain technology can resist an attack. As the digital-asset economy expands, attackers are increasingly targeting something much easier to exploit: people, credentials and attention.
The numbers from 2025 and the first half of 2026 show why security discipline has become essential.
THE SCALE OF THE PROBLEM
2025 produced some of the industry's largest recorded losses. Chainalysis estimated that more than $3.4 billion in cryptocurrency was stolen during the year, while CertiK recorded approximately $3.35 billion in confirmed losses across 630 incidents.
The pressure continued into 2026.
CertiK documented around $1.31 billion in gross losses across 344 incidents during H1 2026. After accounting for funds frozen or recovered, adjusted losses were approximately $1.20 billion.
That is not simply a technical problem. It is a reminder that large amounts of capital naturally attract increasingly sophisticated attacks.
WHERE THE BIGGEST LOSSES ARE COMING FROM
One of the most important lessons from the H1 data is that the most damaging attacks are not necessarily the most technically complex.
Wallet compromises accounted for approximately $444.5 million across 33 incidents, making them the largest loss category.
Phishing followed with roughly $366.3 million across 63 incidents.
Code vulnerabilities were much more frequent, exceeding 200 incidents, but generated approximately $151.6 million in losses.
The contrast is revealing.
Attackers can potentially cause enormous damage without breaking blockchain cryptography. Obtaining credentials, manipulating users or gaining access to wallets can be enough.
THE HUMAN ATTACK SURFACE
Phishing remains particularly dangerous because fraudulent websites, messages and transactions can closely resemble legitimate activity.
Address-poisoning attacks add another layer. These scams use look-alike wallet addresses or tiny transactions to manipulate transaction history and increase the chance that someone copies the wrong address later.
Cross-chain bridges also remain attractive targets because they connect different blockchain environments while often handling significant amounts of value.
Even major incidents demonstrate that security failures can involve operational and human weaknesses rather than the underlying cryptography simply being “broken.”
THE SECURITY CHECKLIST
Protecting digital assets starts with controlling access.
Your private keys and seed phrase should never be shared. Never enter recovery information into an unfamiliar website, message or application, and avoid keeping sensitive wallet credentials on internet-connected devices.
For long-term holdings, many users prefer non-custodial storage because it provides direct control over private keys. Trading activity, meanwhile, should be conducted through established platforms with strong security practices.
But even the best wallet cannot protect a user who approves a malicious transaction.
Before signing anything, verify the website, inspect the transaction, confirm wallet addresses and understand exactly what permission is being granted.
SECURITY IS A DAILY HABIT
Keep wallet applications, browsers and operating systems updated. Software updates frequently include important security fixes.
Be especially careful with unexpected links, urgent messages, unfamiliar token approvals and requests for recovery phrases.
A simple pause before clicking or signing can prevent a potentially irreversible mistake.
THERE IS SOME POSITIVE NEWS
The security picture is not entirely negative.
During H1 2026, projects and security teams helped freeze or recover approximately $115 million in stolen funds, while broader defensive measures prevented additional losses.
Bug-bounty programs have also become an increasingly important part of Web3 security, rewarding researchers who identify vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them.
THE REAL 2026 SECURITY LESSON
The biggest takeaway is straightforward:
Technology creates the security foundation. Discipline protects the user.
Billions of dollars are moving through Web3, making the ecosystem an increasingly valuable target. Strong cryptography, audits and security systems matter, but they cannot compensate for a compromised seed phrase, a careless transaction approval or a convincing phishing attempt.
Verify before signing. Protect your credentials offline. Question unexpected requests. Keep software updated. And treat every transaction as something that deserves your full attention.
In 2026, the strongest security tool may still be the simplest one: stop, verify, then act.

#我的七夕交易分享 The Impact of Unlock Events on AKE’s Long-Term Value
The impact of unlock events on AKE’s long-term value should be assessed from two dimensions: “valuation logic” and “token economics,” and the direction is not exclusively negative.
I. Core Long-Term Valuation Impact of Unlocks: Gradual Narrowing of the Liquidity Discount
AKE currently exhibits a typical “high FDV, low circulating supply” structure—with a total supply of 100 billion tokens and only approximately 2.3% in circulation (approximately 22.8 billion tokens). Its FDV (approximately $1.07 billion) and circulating market cap

PGG/USDT — 1H MARKET UPDATE 📊 | Price Action in Focus
PGG/USDT is currently trading around $144.58, showing a modest +0.12% move on the 1-hour chart. Price action is relatively calm, with the market consolidating around the $144.50–$144.80 area after a volatile move between the visible $143.66 low and $145.90 high.
The short-term moving averages are tightly grouped: MA5 ≈ $144.55, MA10 ≈ $144.59 and MA30 ≈ $144.56. This alignment suggests that momentum is currently balanced rather than strongly directional. Traders should therefore watch the next clean breakout instead of reacting to small ca

BTC & ETH: The Real Test Comes After Options Expiry
Bitcoin and Ethereum are entering an important phase, but the key question now is not simply where options settled. It is whether spot demand can create a sustainable move after the derivatives pressure fades.
Bitcoin is currently around the $62K–$65K region, with recent market weakness pushing BTC from roughly $65K toward the $62.5K area. The latest regulatory uncertainty in the US has also added pressure to risk sentiment.
That makes $64K an important reference point.

$ETH 1879.85, 4H MACD histogram +0.46, with price still stuck below EMA20 (1883). The 1H MACD histogram has begun contracting from +0.17, and buying volume has broken down—the latest hour’s volume was only 7,309, a clear drop from 30k+ in the preceding hours. The order book Bid/Ask ratio is 1.07, with buyers holding a slight edge, but the depth imbalance is only 3.29%, insufficient to push the price higher. Tether’s $6.8B Surplus: Why This Audit Reshapes Stablecoin Wars
KPMG’s unqualified opinion + physical gold verification ends the “do reserves exist?” debate. But the real story isn’t validation it’s how $6.8B buffer reshapes competitive dynamics, regulatory leverage, and DeFi collateral standards. Here’s what traders should watch now that skepticism is obsolete. 👇
🔍 Why This Changes Market Structure Forever

$ETH has been going sideways for 6+ weeks now.
Ethereum needs to reclaim the $1,920 level for a pump towards $2,000.
If ETH loses the $1,800-$1,850 level, it could drop to $1,700.
