$ICP fam, I think the "announcement" will be related to Cloud Engines.
If so, let's hope this will bring some burn, swiftly.
There are four and a half months left until the year ends and there is a lot of catch up to do.

$ICP burn is accelerating.
12,000 ICP burned this week, up 63% and more than double where it was a month ago. Burn now covers 17% of minting, up from 9% the week before. Minting fell 10%.

Still 19x below the Mission 70 target, so no victory lap. But the direction is right.

$ICP friends, just went over 21 DFINITY patents, and I found that the core tech behind cloud engines was filed back in 2019 and 2020.
What I found:
1. The hard crypto stuff (consensus, threshold signatures) is patented.
2. The product layer (governance, ckBTC, dev tools) isn't.
3. Same split shows up in their code licenses. Core locked down, product layer open-sourced.
4. Filings run hard from 2016 to 2021, then basically stop. But the research didn't, they published vetKeys and more after, but patented none of it.
