Apple's earnings beat expectations, but the Nasdaq still fell. Chasing highs is just asking for pain. Today, I’m just waiting for the election results to come in😅
Palantir’s after-hours numbers were also good, but in this market, even a beat can get sold off, so good numbers aren’t enough to make me jump in.
There’s also the jobs report on Friday, so I’m keeping my positions light for now. I’ll wait until the election results are in.

After tech stocks got hammered last week, with earnings, the election, and the jobs report all crammed into this week, I’m keeping my position light for now. No need to tough it out.😑
Apple, Palantir, and AMD earnings are all lined up, the U.S. midterm elections are on Tuesday, and the jobs report is on Friday. This week won’t be quiet either.
Google plunged 12% in a single day last week, a record, while Intel fell 28.6%. Even the “Big Tech” name doesn’t help much right now.
It’s the first week of standard time, so the market opens at 22:30 Beijing time. First, let’s see if Apple can hold up.

Uptober has failed two years in a row, with October $BTC getting hammered all the way back to around 77,000. They’ve been talking up seasonality for a whole month—what a load of crap.
Intel plunged 28.6% in a single day on Friday, its worst drop since 1974. Beating profit expectations didn’t help; guidance was weak, and the stock still fell this much.

Q3 wasn’t bad, yet Intel still plunged nearly 30% in a day. After seeing the Q4 guidance, I really don’t want to buy this dip.
More than $120 billion was wiped off its market cap. The last time it fell this hard was in 1974—absolutely insane😳
Q3 revenue was $16.5 billion, up 21% year over year; data center revenue was up 78%, and EPS of 0.52 also beat expectations. Just looking at these results, who could have guessed the stock would fall like this?
The problem was the Q4 guidance: revenue of $15-16 billion versus market expectations of $17.1 billion; EPS guidance of 0.25 versus expectations
