If an exchange gets hacked, all funds are gone in a second. So when using Gate.io, make security your #1 priority.
1. Enable 2FA: Use Google Authenticator instead of SMS 2FA. Even if a SIM swap occurs, your account will remain safe.
2. Anti-Phishing Code: Set a code from Settings. All real emails from Gate.io will contain this code. You'll be able to identify scam emails.
3. Withdrawal Whitelist: When enabled, withdrawals can only go to your saved wallets.
4. Manage Login Devices: If you see an unknown device, remove it immediately.
