In my view, the next major opportunity in the artificial intelligence sector may not lie in investments in chips or data centers, but rather in companies capable of transforming AI into actual revenue and sustainable profit.

The market is no longer just looking at the scale of investment in AI infrastructure; it is now questioning when—and to what extent—these investments will yield returns. Consequently, we may see a significant divergence among companies in the coming period.

Companies that could stand out:

1. Alphabet (Google) (GOOGL): Possesses strong revenue potential through AI-powered search, advertising, and the Gemini ecosystem. Its ability to monetize an existing user base is a key advantage.

2. Microsoft (MSFT): Well-positioned to generate direct revenue from corporate AI spending through Azure, Copilot, and enterprise-grade AI solutions.

3. Amazon (AMZN): The commercialization of AI services via AWS and the growth of cloud-related revenue present a significant opportunity.

4. Meta Platforms (META): AI-driven ad targeting and content recommendations are powerful areas that could enhance the profitability of its core advertising business.

5. Palantir (PLTR): Stands out for its solutions that enable organizations to integrate AI into their actual business processes. However, its high valuation poses a notable risk.

6. AppLovin (APP): Demonstrates strong potential for revenue generation within the app economy through AI-powered ad optimization.

My market outlook:

During the sharp sell-off on November 5, the Nasdaq fell by approximately 5.5%, while the S&P 500 declined by 4.4%. Furthermore, the sell-off was not limited to chipmakers; AI software companies, such as Palantir, also came under pressure. Therefore, it would be inaccurate to speak of a definitive capital rotation at this stage.

In my view, the most critical criterion is how quickly companies can translate their AI investments into revenue growth, operating profit, and free cash flow.

As an investment strategy, I would favor building positions gradually rather than making a single lump-sum purchase, while closely monitoring balance sheet results and remaining cautious regarding overvalued companies.

Ultimately, the AI narrative is not coming to an end; it is simply entering a new phase. The winners in the period ahead may not be those that purchase the most chips, but rather the companies that most efficiently monetize artificial intelligence.
