The most important signal today wasn’t how much it rose, but that it couldn’t hold its gains. On election night, BTC first crashed to 75,700. Overnight, the Dow surged 1,569 points and spot ETFs saw net inflows of $74.6 million, helping BTC make a V-shaped recovery to 81,196. But after the Asian session, it gave back gains all the way to around 79,600 this evening. The 80,000 level was contested repeatedly today, not decisively taken.

Overnight, I anticipated BTC would face resistance on a rebound and set up a short position around 80,800. The price surged to around 80,900 this morning before turning lower, capturing a 1,400-point move.
