Bitcoin Above 80 Thousand Dollars: Will the Recovery Be Permanent?
After dropping to the 75,600 dollar level on election night, the leading digital asset demonstrated a strong V-shaped recovery, climbing to the 80,475 dollar band. According to current data, the open was recorded at 77,958 dollars, the intraday low at 77,890 dollars, and the high at 81,196 dollars. The daily gain stands at 2,517 dollars with 3.22%, and the price is holding above the psychological threshold of 80,000 dollars.
There are three main forces behind this movement. First, a recovery in risk appetite. The reduction of uncertainty following the US midterm elections triggered a rally on Wall Street, which positively reflected on digital currencies. Second, a weakening in the dollar index and a pullback in Treasury yields. Third is leverage cleansing. According to market data, the latest surge triggered 453 million dollars in short position liquidations. The closing of leveraged transactions built on declines accelerated the rise.
The technical outlook is becoming clear. The 76,000 dollar region is the main support that buyers must defend for November. The intermediate support is 79,000 dollars. Above, 81,300 dollars stands out as the critical resistance where passive buying and active selling intersect, according to exchange reports. 82,000 dollars is the breakout trigger. If the price remains permanent above 80,000 and is supported by spot demand and fund inflows, room toward 84,000 dollars could open up. In the reverse scenario, a dip below 78,000 would bring the 75,700 test back to the agenda.
From a trader's perspective, the structure resembles an accumulation phase following a market trap. The volume profile shows intense interest in the 77,000 - 80,000 range. Ethereum accompanied the market leader by rising 6.58% to 2,421 dollars, and Solana by 2.19% to 94.94 dollars. This parallel movement proves that risk appetite has spread to the broader market.
On the macro front, a decline in oil prices is easing inflation concerns. The tempering of additional tightening expectations regarding central banks is opening up space for non-yielding assets. The fact that post-election regulatory expectations have become more predictable encourages institutional acquisition.
Volatility will remain high in the short term. However, reclaiming the 80 thousand threshold has provided morale for the positive side. As a strategy, as long as the 80,500 - 80,800 band is maintained, momentum should be read as long-directional, with risk management kept at the forefront using a stop loss below 79,000.
