As of November 4, Gate has launched trading for 19 stocks listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. This marks a new addition to its Asia-Pacific network, following the inclusion of markets in the U.S., Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan.

What this means for you is that you no longer need a separate account or a different currency to access companies at the heart of the AI hardware supply chain; you can reach them all from the same platform, using the same wallet.

Who is on the list, and why these 19 companies?

The initial 19 stocks have been carefully selected, spanning sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, electronics manufacturing, telecommunications, and finance.

The list includes TSMC—the world’s largest chip foundry—which provides critical capacity for advanced manufacturing and AI chips; MediaTek, a leader in mobile chipsets and custom integrated circuits; and Hon Hai (better known as Foxconn), the powerhouse behind AI servers and large-scale electronics manufacturing. Quanta is also featured, standing out in server and data center hardware. The list is rounded out by representatives from the telecommunications and financial sectors, such as Chunghwa Telecom and Fubon Financial. In short, the selection covers the entire chain—from chips to servers, and from servers to network infrastructure.

How does trading work for you?

The system has been designed with the crypto user in mind.

You can trade directly using the USDT in your spot account, with no need to manually convert funds into New Taiwan Dollars (TWD). You can view prices, portfolio details, and profit/loss data in TWD—the same way you would see them in the local market.

Fractional shares are supported, allowing you to start with as little as 0.01 of a share. This means you can gain exposure to high-priced stocks even with a smaller amount of capital. Trading hours are from 09:00 to 13:25 on days when the Taiwan Stock Exchange is open, with no midday break. You are also entitled to any dividends.

With this expansion, the number of stocks and ETFs offered by Gate across five markets has surpassed 12,800.

Why Taiwan, and why the artificial intelligence supply chain?

Because the path for global AI spending runs through Taiwan.

At TSMC, management expects AI-related revenue to grow by 50–60% annually. Key drivers behind this outlook include the contribution from 2-nanometer production, shipments of 3-nanometer AI chips, and plans to increase advanced packaging capacity from 1.1 million units in 2026 to 2 million by 2027.

For MediaTek, revenue guidance for custom integrated circuits (ASICs) is projected in the $12–16 billion range by 2027; the company is operating at over 100% capacity utilization and anticipates revenue growth exceeding 30% in 2026. Meanwhile, Hon Hai’s 40% increase in capital expenditures serves as a direct indicator of its investment in AI server capacity.

What does this expansion signify for you?

It represents another step in the evolution of crypto exchanges into multi-asset platforms. It opens the door to a market that previously had high barriers to entry, now accessible via USDT and fractional trading.

However, beyond long-term projections, it is essential to consider the factors upon which these forecasts depend—such as global demand, the pace of technological transition, and geopolitical dynamics. All of these are integral links in the chain. In short, the growth story is robust, but it does not follow a single, linear path.

How should you approach this?

If you are curious about the artificial intelligence hardware supply chain, this list offers a direct look at its core. Companies that manufacture chips, build servers, and manage network infrastructure are all presented here.

However, as always, keep your own risk tolerance and portfolio allocation in mind. Evaluate a stock not merely based on the AI narrative, but also in the context of your investment horizon, your capacity to hold the position, and your tolerance for market volatility. The best way to gain exposure is the one that allows you to remain comfortable while holding the investment.
