XTIUSD Holds $96.54 After 7.3% Crash - US-Iran Talk Hopes Ease Oil Fear
Price $96.54, high $99.43, low $94.22, open $96.93, prior close $96.88, gain +0.04%. MA5 96.96, MA10 97.81, MA30 101.22. Top $105.74, bottom $90.08. MACD -0.60, DIF -1.56, DEA -0.95, red bars, momentum weak.
Price under MA5, MA10, MA30 after sharp fall. Support $94.22 - $90.08 zone, lose $90 opens $89. First resist $96.96 (MA5), strong $97.81 (MA10) and $101.22 (MA30), top wall $105.74. For bounce, close above $97.81 with volume needed.
What asset does - aim:
WTI crude aim is to be US oil mark for world. Core is light sweet oil from US, price set by supply vs demand, war risk and OPEC moves. Moves on USD, stock data and Mid-East tension.
Current status verified:
WTI fell 7.36% to $96.46 on Nov 2, biggest daily loss since July 27, Brent fell 7.63% to $104.77. Drop due to US-Iran peace hopes via Qatar mediators, talk of reopening Strait of Hormuz, Trump says deal could happen after midterms. Prior run +14% in Oct on war fear. Now flat at $96.54-96.63 up 0.18% as US strike on Qeshm Island lifts fear again. Market holds near $96 after crash.
What draws holder most:
1 - Diplomacy: Peace talk eases supply fear, price down. Any strike news lifts price up fast.
2 - Strait risk: Hormuz is key lane, any close talk spikes oil.
3 - Trend break: $105.74 to $94.22 is 11% swing in days, MA30 $101.22 now resist.
4 - Midterms: Nov 3 vote plus Fed 74% hike odds weigh on demand view.
Watch zone:
Hold above $94.22 for move to $96.96-97.81. Lose $94.22 and slide to $90. Long idea needs MA10 reclaim and calm in Mid-East.
Sum: Short crash is peace hope, long theme is war plus supply. WTI is core for fuel, but near term $94-99 is fight zone till US-Iran path clear.
