ZEC is approaching a decision point, and the next move could be more important than the recent recovery.

What catches my attention is how Zcash has been holding up around the $1,250 area. Buyers have managed to defend the recent recovery, but the market still needs stronger confirmation before I consider the next major upside move reliable.

I am watching $1,300 as the key breakout level. This is where I expect the market to reveal whether buyers have enough strength to continue the rally or whether sellers will use the resistance to take profits.

My first priority is protecting the downside. The $1,214 area is an important support zone. As long as ZEC maintains this level, the recovery structure remains constructive. A stronger rejection below it could quickly change the picture and expose $1,176, followed by $1,116.

On the bullish side, a clean break above $1,301 with increasing volume could create room toward $1,365. If momentum continues, $1,420 and $1,467 become the next areas I would monitor.

How I would trade this setup

I would not enter simply because the price is moving higher.

For a long position, I want to see ZEC close above $1,301 on the 1-hour chart and successfully retest that level.

Potential entry: $1,305–$1,315
Stop-loss: $1,265
Targets: $1,365 / $1,420 / $1,467

If the market loses $1,214 and fails to reclaim it, my attention shifts toward a bearish setup.

Potential short entry: $1,205–$1,210 after a failed retest
Stop-loss: $1,245
Targets: $1,176 / $1,145 / $1,116

These are conditional setups, not signals to enter immediately. Position size should be calculated according to the stop-loss distance.

What I am watching now

The important question is not how quickly ZEC can reach the next target. It is whether buyers can maintain control without relying on a temporary volume spike.

My bias remains cautiously bullish above $1,214, but $1,301 is the level that could give the recovery its next meaningful confirmation.

I prefer waiting for the market to prove its direction rather than paying the price for entering too early.

I'm bearish; if 1214 breaks, I'm looking directly at 1176. Any rebound is just an opportunity for bears

A breakout above 1301 plus increased volume—both conditions are essential; if either is missing, don’t go long

The target is pretty far off, but let's take it one step at a time—first, let's see 1365

The 1-hour retest confirms this approach is reliable and helps avoid many pitfalls

The ZEC privacy coin narrative has been dead for a while; trade purely on technicals, no talk of faith

Go long if 1214 holds; go short if it breaks. Simple and clear: execution matters more than prediction

ZEC's same old problem: it gives up gains as soon as it rises a little. Hard to say whether it can hold up this time

This kind of market is ideal for grid trading; breakout trades are easily whipsawed
