#GateSOL质押创新高参考年化7.29% 663,600 SOL Staked: Is GTSOL Becoming More Than a Staking Receipt?
Gate’s SOL staking ecosystem is reaching another milestone, with more than 663,600 SOL reported as staked. The previous reference was around 662,600 SOL, meaning the position has expanded by approximately 1,000 SOL.
But the bigger development is not simply the amount being staked. It is how GTSOL connects staking rewards with a tradable asset. Instead of viewing staking and trading as completely separate activities, users now have another way to access SOL-related exposure through a liquid staking token.
At the latest price provided, SOL is trading around $94.29. That makes the relationship between the underlying SOL value, GTSOL's conversion rate and market liquidity particularly important.
The staking milestone: Growth beyond the headline number
The reported 663,600+ SOL position shows continued participation in Gate's staking ecosystem. Compared with the previous 662,600 SOL reference, the increase is modest, but it still points to further expansion.
The more meaningful measure over time will be whether this growth is sustained. I would watch the total SOL staked, changes in pool value and the amount of GTSOL circulating in the market rather than judging adoption from one record alone.
7.29% reference APR: Attractive, but understand the calculation
Gate displays a reference annualized rate of 7.29%. At that level, the headline yield naturally attracts attention, especially for users who intend to hold SOL over a longer period.
However, a reference APR is not a guaranteed return. Staking rewards can change with network conditions, validator performance, fees and the platform's calculation method.
There is also an important comparison: an independently reported realised APY of approximately 4.84% for the relevant pool has been cited. These figures should not be treated as directly equivalent without checking their observation periods, reward components and calculation methods.
For me, the important question is not which percentage looks bigger. It is what a user actually receives after applicable fees and under the current staking conditions.
GTSOL conversion: The value behind the token
The supplied conversion reference is approximately:
1 GTSOL = 1.06693 SOL.
Using that rate, 100 GTSOL represents approximately 106.693 SOL before any applicable fees or changes in the conversion rate.
At the supplied SOL price of $94.29, that corresponds to an indicative underlying value of approximately $10,059.69.
This calculation is useful because it separates two things: the amount of SOL represented by GTSOL and the price at which GTSOL trades in the open market.
The market price does not have to match the theoretical redemption value at every moment. Liquidity, trading demand, fees and redemption conditions can create differences.
From staking to trading: A new utility layer
GTSOL/USDT spot trading launched on October 30, 2026. This is an important development because it gives GTSOL a market-trading route rather than making its value dependent only on a staking dashboard.
However, trading access and redemption are not identical. A user selling GTSOL on the spot market is dealing with market price and available liquidity. A user redeeming GTSOL for SOL is subject to the platform's conversion rules and withdrawal conditions.
That distinction matters. I would monitor the GTSOL/USDT price, 24-hour volume, bid-ask spread and order-book depth before making assumptions about how easily a large position can be traded.
On-chain activity: Is the growth supported by real capital?
The supplied DeFiLlama reference puts Gate's SOL pool TVL at approximately $62.64 million on November 1.
TVL helps show the amount of value held in a pool, but it can change because of SOL's market price as well as deposits and withdrawals. A rising dollar-denominated TVL does not automatically mean that the number of staked SOL has increased by the same percentage.
I would compare the seven-day and 30-day TVL movements with the actual SOL balance. That provides a clearer picture of whether growth is coming from additional staking participation or simply price changes.
My view: The real test is capital efficiency
GTSOL's potential appeal comes from combining three elements: staking exposure, conversion into SOL and access to spot trading.
But the model also introduces risks that should not be ignored. SOL's market price can fall, the reference APR can change, GTSOL may trade below its underlying conversion value, and redemption can be subject to specific conditions.
I would assess GTSOL through three separate indicators:
- Staking growth: Is the SOL balance continuing to expand?
- Market quality: Is GTSOL/USDT developing consistent volume and sufficient order-book liquidity?
- Underlying value: Does the market price remain reasonably aligned with the current SOL conversion value?
The 663,600+ SOL milestone and 7.29% reference APR are attention-grabbing figures, but neither tells the complete story.
For me, the bigger opportunity is whether GTSOL can make staking capital more flexible without sacrificing transparency around yield, liquidity and redemption. If those three elements remain healthy, its utility could become more meaningful than simply holding a token that represents staked SOL.

💰 663.6k SOL have been staked. Are people starting to pay more attention to returns on their holdings?
Gate's total SOL staking amount has hit a new high of 663.6k SOL, with the latest reported reference annualized yield reaching 7.29%.
What’s worth noting this time is not just the yield, but also the flexibility in using assets offered by GTSOL 👀
Users who stake SOL can receive GTSOL and earn staking rewards while also trading, using it as collateral, or redeeming it according to the product rules.
However, SOL’s price can also fluctuate, so it’s worth considering whether staking rewards can offset the risk of a price decline.
If you plan to hold SOL long term, would you stake it to earn rewards or keep it in spot holdings while waiting for trading opportunities?
