Bitcoin at a Critical Turning Point: Buyers Need to Defend Their Ground
Bitcoin's recent sell-off has changed the market structure, and the next move will depend on whether buyers can regain control or sellers continue pushing prices lower. After facing strong rejection near $85,000, BTC has entered a sensitive price zone where every recovery attempt needs confirmation.

Last week's decline was driven by several pressures coming together. Buying momentum weakened near resistance, selling activity increased, and leveraged long positions became vulnerable. As Bitcoin lost important support levels, liquidations added further downside pressure. Uncertainty across the broader crypto market also contributed to cautious investor sentiment.

On the 4-hour chart, Bitcoin needs to recover the $79,000–$80,000 region to improve its short-term structure. If buyers establish support above this area, the next upside levels are $81,500 and $83,000. Failure to reclaim resistance could leave the market exposed to another selling wave.

On the 1-hour chart, $77,000–$78,000 remains an important area to watch. A strong recovery above $78,800 could create momentum toward $79,500–$80,000. However, losing $76,600 would increase downside risk, with $75,000 and $73,000 becoming the next potential support areas.

My strategy is simple: I would rather wait for a confirmed breakout than enter aggressively during uncertain price action. A short-term bounce does not automatically mean the correction is finished. Strong buying volume, improving spot demand and a successful 4-hour recovery are necessary signals.

My outlook: Bitcoin is approaching a decisive zone. Reclaiming $80,000 could improve bullish momentum, while a breakdown below $76,600 could extend the correction. Protecting capital and respecting market structure remain my priorities until buyers demonstrate genuine strength.

Watch the funding rates; only when they turn sufficiently negative will there be a real rebound

The author's strategy is solid; wait for confirmation, not chase highs
