#ShareWeekly STRC: Stability Near $100, but Is the Market Confirming the Next Move?
A Different Kind of Market Setup
STRC is not a conventional growth stock, and that distinction matters when reading its chart. Strategy’s Stretch preferred stock has a $100 stated amount and a variable dividend structure designed to encourage trading around that level. The real technical test is whether demand can keep the market price close to $100 without weakening liquidity.
My reference quote is $99.43, while the latest verified regular-session close for October 30 was $99.13. The difference matters: I am using $99.43 as the supplied reference, but the weekly calculations below use verified exchange-session data.
The Five-Session Scorecard
October 26–30 delivered a relatively narrow price range:
• Monday open: $99.20
• Friday close: $99.13
• Weekly high: $99.99 on October 29
• Weekly low: $98.12 on October 30
• Weekly opening-to-closing performance: approximately −0.07%
• Total volume across the five sessions: approximately 8.76 million shares
STRC climbed gradually from $99.17 on Monday to $99.99 on Thursday, but Friday’s decline brought it back to $99.13. The weekly high was almost exactly the $100 psychological and stated-value threshold. Buyers approached that level, but the market did not finish the week above it.
Volume Reveals the More Interesting Story
Daily volume increased from approximately 1.36 million shares on Monday to 3.37 million on Friday. Friday's turnover was around 1.93 times the reported 20-session average of 1.75 million shares.
That is worth watching, but high volume alone does not prove accumulation. STRC traded down from $99.99 to $99.13 on Friday, so the volume increase came with a price retreat. It may reflect heavier repositioning or distribution rather than a confirmed bullish breakout.
Momentum Check: Not a Clear Breakout Yet
The October 30 technical snapshot gives a more balanced picture than the price alone:
• RSI (14): approximately 46.31 — neutral, with no overbought signal.
• MACD (12, 26): approximately −0.192 — bearish momentum signal in the available snapshot.
• ADX (14): approximately 34.91 — trend strength is elevated, but ADX does not identify direction by itself.
• ATR (14): approximately $0.292 — useful for judging the relatively small daily trading range.
The moving-average picture is mixed. The 5-day SMA and EMA were approximately $98.76 and $98.91, while the 10-day SMA and EMA were around $99.12 and $99.07. The 20-day SMA and EMA were higher, near $99.50 and $99.28. The reported 50-day average was around $98.50.
At the $99.43 reference price, STRC is above several shorter-term averages, but the 20-day averages remain an important confirmation area. This is not a clean bullish alignment across every timeframe.
The Price Map: Where the Next Decision Happens
The weekly swing from $98.12 to $99.99 gives these approximate Fibonacci retracement references:
• 23.6%: $99.55
• 38.2%: $99.28
• 50%: $99.06
• 61.8%: $98.83
• 78.6%: $98.52
These are calculated from the week's high and low, not independent support guarantees.
The levels I would monitor are:
• Immediate support: $99.00–$99.06
• Lower demand area: $98.80–$98.85
• Stronger weekly reference: $98.12
• First resistance: $99.55–$99.66
• Major psychological barrier: $100.00
• Higher upside observation: $100.40–$100.50
A sustained move above $100 with stronger turnover would improve the breakout case. Repeated rejection near $99.90–$100.00, followed by a loss of $99.00, would instead suggest that the market is still struggling to establish stronger demand.
Why STRC's $100 Level Is More Than a Chart Line
Strategy's official STRC information lists a 12.00% annualized variable dividend rate for the relevant October 2026 record-date periods, based on the $100 stated amount. The dividend is payable semi-monthly in cash, subject to the applicable terms and declaration. The rate can be adjusted monthly, and the company has stated that its objective is for STRC to trade around approximately $99–$100 over time.
This is why a move from $99.43 to $100 should not be interpreted like a breakout in an ordinary common stock. The dividend rate, market yield, credit spreads, Bitcoin volatility, liquidity and confidence in Strategy's capital structure can all influence demand. The stated amount is not a guarantee that the market price will remain at $100, and the dividend rate is not guaranteed to stay unchanged.
My Weekly Verdict
STRC's price action suggests relative stability, not a powerful confirmed breakout. The weekly range remained tight, RSI was neutral, MACD was negative, and Friday's volume expansion accompanied a pullback from the weekly high.
My priority is to watch three things: whether $99.00 continues to attract buyers, whether STRC can reclaim the $99.55–$99.66 area, and whether a sustained move above $100 arrives with convincing volume.
If buyers defend support and regain $100, the market would show stronger acceptance near stated value. If price repeatedly fails at that threshold and slips below $99, the stability thesis deserves another look.
For STRC, the strongest signal is not simply touching $100. It is maintaining demand around that level while the dividend, liquidity and issuer-risk picture remain supportive.#WCTCS9
