(GOOGL): Strong AI Growth, But Wall Street Wants Profitability
Alphabet is facing serious market pressure after its latest earnings report. GOOGL closed around $279.84 on October 30, following a sharp post-earnings sell-off. The main concern is not a lack of growth, but whether massive AI investments can translate into sustainable profits.

Google Cloud delivered an impressive 103% year-over-year revenue increase to $30.7 billion, while total revenue grew 25% to $127.6 billion. However, earnings disappointed, and free cash flow turned negative at approximately $9.1 billion. Rising AI infrastructure costs and concerns about Search advertising monetization are weighing on investor confidence.

Technically, the $275–$271 area is an important support zone. If buyers defend it, a recovery towards $290–$300 could develop, followed by $315. However, losing support could expose the stock to further downside.

My outlook is cautiously bearish in the short term but constructive over the longer term. Google's AI and Cloud businesses remain powerful growth engines, but the market now wants proof that this investment can generate real cash flow. I would watch the next earnings developments and wait for price stabilization before considering a fresh position.

AI investment burns too much cash; turning cash flow negative is indeed worrying

It fell from 315, and even getting back to 300 is a struggle

The post-earnings sell-off shows that institutions are also hesitant

Technically, 271-275 is key; a break below it would be trouble
