#StrategySTRCNears100ParValue
Strategy's STRC is approaching an important milestone, and the move could have bigger implications for the company's Bitcoin funding strategy than the price recovery alone suggests.

STRC recently climbed to $99.95, coming within just five cents of its $100 par value for the first time in 165 days. This is more than a psychological price level. It represents an important test of market confidence in Strategy's preferred-stock financing model.

Unlike ordinary preferred shares with a fixed dividend, STRC has a variable dividend rate that the board can adjust to help keep its market price near $100. The annualized rate currently stands at 12%, making the security attractive to income-focused investors while also creating a significant financing cost for Strategy.

The bigger connection is Bitcoin accumulation. When STRC trades around or above par, Strategy has better conditions to issue additional shares through at-the-market programs. The capital raised can then support further Bitcoin purchases without relying entirely on issuing common stock. However, this strategy comes with a price: the dividend is a real financial obligation, and maintaining investor confidence around par value is essential.

The market now has two important things to watch. First, can STRC maintain its recovery around $100? Second, will Strategy use this improved pricing environment to raise additional capital for Bitcoin accumulation? A sustained recovery could strengthen its financing flexibility, while renewed weakness could make future fundraising more expensive or difficult.

I believe the most important development is not simply STRC reaching $99.95. It is whether the security can consistently hold near par without requiring excessive support from the company. A 12% annualized dividend may attract demand, but it also raises the cost of maintaining this funding structure.

For Bitcoin investors, STRC deserves attention because it connects preferred-stock demand with Strategy's ability to finance future BTC purchases. Still, stronger financing capacity does not automatically guarantee higher Bitcoin prices or eliminate balance-sheet risks.

My view: The recovery towards $100 is encouraging, but sustainability matters more than touching par value. The real test is whether Strategy can maintain investor demand, manage its dividend costs and continue its Bitcoin strategy without putting unnecessary pressure on its financial structure.

Anyone watching MSTR needs to keep a close eye on this—its financing capacity directly determines how much BTC it can buy going forward

Approaching face value for the first time in 165 days; market sentiment has indeed improved, but don’t celebrate too soon

Only staying near par consistently is the real test; if volatility is too high, ATM issuance gets awkward

STRC returns to the psychologically important level of 100; the key is whether it can hold, not just touch it and leave

This model is pretty interesting: the stock price is anchored at $100 by adjusting interest rates, kind of like a central bank.

A 12% dividend yield is certainly tempting, but the ongoing cost pressure is significant
