🎃 THE GHOST TRADE: A PROFIT THAT NEVER EXISTED 👻
It was 2:47 AM.
Bitcoin suddenly broke above a resistance level. Green candles appeared one after another, volume started rising, and the trading room came alive.
Everyone was shouting: “BREAKOUT CONFIRMED!”
One trader entered immediately.
Price moved higher. His unrealized profit turned green. He imagined the perfect trade and started thinking about how much more he could make.
Then something strange happened.
The next candle rejected the breakout. Price dropped back below resistance. The green profit disappeared, and his stop-loss was triggered.
The breakout was nothing more than a liquidity sweep.
💀 The ghost wasn't in the chart. It was in the trader's emotions.
Three lessons from this Halloween nightmare:
🕯️ 1. A breakout needs confirmation.
A candle crossing resistance is not enough. Watch the close, volume and whether price can hold above the level.
🕯️ 2. Never confuse unrealized profit with secured profit.
A green number on your screen is not money in your pocket.
🕯️ 3. Liquidity can be deceptive.
Price can move above a major level, trigger breakout entries and then reverse sharply.
My Halloween trading rule:
I would rather miss the first candle than become liquidity for someone else's trade.
The market will offer another opportunity. Your capital needs to survive long enough to take it.
