Arm Holdings shares closed at 223.34 dollars on October 26. That marked a gain of 6.12 percent for the session. The chip designer moved higher alongside a broader recovery in semiconductor stocks, as capital returned to the artificial intelligence trade.
Industry research from TrendForce adds context to the demand picture. The firm expects global server CPU shipments to grow about 31 percent in 2026. It forecasts growth above 40 percent in 2027. TrendForce also estimates that Arm based CPUs could reach a 30 percent market share in 2027. This outlook is supported by new processors entering mass production from companies including Nvidia, Google, AWS, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Arm itself.
Legal questions remain part of the story. In the antitrust case between Arm and Qualcomm, a federal judge signaled reluctance to intervene in the license fees Qualcomm would pay for new technology. The judge largely left the terms to the two companies. Licensing fees and customer structure are key revenue variables, so this legal uncertainty stays in place.
Valuation is another point of debate. A discounted cash flow analysis published on October 26 put intrinsic value at 10.47 dollars on an earnings basis and 39.94 dollars on a free cash flow basis. These third party models are highly sensitive to growth assumptions and are not pricing benchmarks, but the wide gap shows that the valuation discussion continues.
Which signal matters more to you here, the shipment forecasts or the licensing dispute. I am holding my positions and watching the market.
