Gate Launchpool 384 Puts 36 XAUT on the Table, and the Real Story Is the New Dynamic USDT Limit
Gate's 384th Launchpool campaign distributes 36 XAUT, Tether's gold-backed token, across three staking pools. It runs from October 26 to November 16, 2026, starting and ending at 20:00 (UTC+8), a 21-day window. Rewards are fully unlocked and paid hourly to the spot account. With gold near $4,000 an ounce, the 36 XAUT pot is worth roughly $144,000. The most distinctive feature, though, is not the size. It is the new dynamic USDT staking limit combined with hourly distribution.

**Reward allocation: how the 36 XAUT is split**
- USDT pool: 20 XAUT, or 55.6% of the total (about $80,000)
- GT pool: 8 XAUT, or 22.2% (about $32,000)
- XAUT pool: 8 XAUT, or 22.2% (about $32,000)

Spread over 504 hours, the USDT pool emits about 0.0397 XAUT per hour, while the GT and XAUT pools each emit about 0.0159 XAUT per hour. The USDT pool carries 2.5 times the rewards of either other pool, but it is also open to the widest base of capital, which means more competition for each share.

**The new USDT mechanism: capacity that follows deposits**
The USDT pool introduces a dynamic staking limit that unlocks 1:1 with a user's real-time net deposits, paired with hourly settlement. In practice, a user's capacity grows dollar for dollar as net funds are added, instead of being fixed in advance. Earlier Gate campaigns, including the previous XAUT round, tied certain staking limits to users' 60-day trading volume, which meant capacity depended on trading history. The new design links capacity to capital actually deposited, so participation can scale immediately and funds are not stuck waiting on a volume threshold. Early staking is also available after identity verification, with specific rules in Gate's official announcement.

**GT pool limits**
- Minimum stake: 0.1 GT
- Maximum stake: 6,800 GT per user
- Total reward: 8 XAUT shared among all GT stakers

**XAUT pool limits**
- Minimum stake: 0.00003 XAUT, roughly $0.12 at current gold prices
- Maximum stake: 500 XAUT, roughly $2 million
- Total reward: 8 XAUT shared among all XAUT stakers

The XAUT pool has the widest entry range of the three, from a few cents to institutional size.

**Estimated APR: what the headline number means**
Gate's announcement feed displays an estimated APR of up to 72.15%. That figure is a snapshot, not a promise. When the reward coin differs from the staked coin, Gate calculates APR as the hourly rewards times the reward coin's price, divided by the total staked times the staked coin's price, annualized. That makes APR a function of pool size and prices, and it typically compresses as more capital joins. The previous XAUT campaign shows the range: Gate's published figures were about 3.35% for the USDT pool, 6.38% for GT and 12.45% for XAUT at the time of its update. The smaller the pool's total stake relative to its reward, the higher the displayed rate, and the faster it can move.

Hourly reward mechanics: pool size and duration decide your share
Each hour, a pool's XAUT is divided in proportion to each user's share of the total staked amount, and paid to the spot account. Two examples show the scale:
- Holding 1% of the XAUT pool's stake for all 21 days earns about 0.08 XAUT, roughly $320.
- Holding 1% of the USDT pool for the same period earns about 0.2 XAUT, roughly $800.

If a pool's total stake doubles, your share and your hourly reward halve. If you join late, you earn only for the hours you are in the pool.

The gold-backed angle
XAUT, or Tether Gold, is a token designed to represent ownership exposure to physical gold, one token per troy ounce. That links two worlds: a traditional safe-haven asset and on-chain earning. The timing is relevant. Spot gold slipped below $4,000 on October 26 for the first time since mid-July, then rebounded, with December futures settling at $4,038.40. Gold is trading against a 10-year Treasury yield near 5%, with support near $3,986 and resistance in the $4,032 to $4,075 zone. Because the reward is gold-linked, its dollar value moves with gold, not with a small-cap token's volatility.

Key comparison: three pools, three trade-offs
- USDT pool: the largest reward share, a stablecoin principal with no price exposure on the staked asset, and the most flexible capacity thanks to the dynamic 1:1 limit. The trade-off is the most competition per XAUT.
- GT pool: a low 0.1 GT entry and a 6,800 GT cap suit existing GT holders, but the staked principal carries GT price exposure.
- XAUT pool: the widest range from 0.00003 to 500 XAUT, and both the staked asset and the reward are gold-linked, so you earn more of what you already hold. The principal carries gold-price exposure, and the smaller 8 XAUT pool makes the APR more sensitive to inflows.

In short, the USDT pool offers the best flexibility and no principal price risk, the XAUT pool fits holders who want gold-aligned yield, and the GT pool is best for those already holding GT.

Main takeaway
This campaign is not just about sharing 36 gold tokens. Its most distinctive feature is the dynamic USDT staking-limit mechanism, where capacity unlocks 1:1 with net deposits, combined with hourly reward distribution. Together they make participation more flexible and rewards more continuous than a fixed-limit, volume-gated design.
