#StriveCEOHintsAtMoreBitcoinBuying $BTC #ShareWeekly

A hint is not a purchase. Before treating Strive’s next move as fresh support, here’s what’s confirmed, what’s inferred, and what the cost basis says.

1. What was actually said
On October 25, the CEO posted a chart of the company’s BTC holdings with a note that a “sats/$SATS perpetual swap has been activated.” Reports read that as a hint at a purchase update next week. I couldn’t confirm what the swap refers to, or any size. Confirmed holdings are still 36,818 BTC as of October 16.

2. The war chest (my math)
The new preferred offering was expected to bring about $630M gross, settling October 20. After an 18-month dividend reserve of about $157.5M, roughly $472.5M remains before fees. At BTC near 79,994, that’s about 5,900 BTC, a 16% increase in holdings and about 13 days of newly mined supply (my math). That’s a hypothetical, since the company also lists working capital and income-generating investments as uses.

3. The cost basis reality (my math)
As of September 30, Strive held 28,000 BTC at an average cost of $90,170, about 12.7% above today’s price. Q3 purchases averaged $78,885, and October’s reported batches averaged $84,422 (2,000 BTC) and $82,803 (4,045 BTC). The price of one week’s 3,311 BTC isn’t in what I found. If it was in the mid-$80Ks, the overall average is roughly $88–89K, about 10% above current price (my assumption). A $472.5M buy at 79,994 would lower that average by only about 1.3% (my math).

4. Why accumulation isn’t a floor
A treasury company buys when funding is available, and that funding comes with a cost. The new preferred pays 15% on its stated value, roughly $105M a year. The bid lasts as long as the funding market stays open, which itself depends on BTC’s price. Support from a buyer who is underwater and paying double-digit funding costs is real demand, but it isn’t an obligation to defend a level.

5. Chart check (levels from my screenshot)
BTC is at 79,994.

Support at 79,880: -0.1%
50-day at 81,808: +2.3%, almost the same as Strive’s latest batch cost of $81,734
Resistance at 84,178: +5.2%, close to October’s first batch at $84,422
My marked levels at 77,020 (-3.7%) and 75,500 (-5.6%)
RSI is 41.3

Strive’s recent costs line up with the 50-day and resistance, which means a recovery there would put their latest buys near breakeven.

6. What would count as fresh support
A disclosed purchase size in the thousands of BTC rather than hundreds, BTC holding 79,880 while it’s announced, and ETF flows not offsetting it.

My take: I read the hint as supportive but not decisive. One buyer who’s roughly 10% underwater can slow a fall, but it can’t set the floor. I’m watching 79,880 first, and the size of the disclosure second.

Not financial advice.

Do you read treasury buying as support or as a funding-dependent bid? And is your line on BTC 79,880 or the 50-day at 81,808?
