#StriveCEOHintsAtMoreBitcoinBuying #WCTCS9 36,818 BTC in Treasury, $1 Billion in Capital-Raising Capacity and the Next Accumulation Signal

Strive’s latest Bitcoin move is bigger than a single purchase. It shows how aggressively the company is expanding its BTC treasury and why the next announcement deserves attention. But the key question is not simply whether Strive buys more Bitcoin. It is whether that growth can translate into stronger Bitcoin exposure per share without creating excessive financing costs or dilution.

Between October 12 and October 16, 2026, Strive acquired 4,045 BTC for approximately $335 million at an average price of $82,803 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses. The purchase came in two stages: 2,822 BTC at an average of $83,266 during October 12–13, followed by another 1,223 BTC at approximately $81,734 during October 14–16. By October 16, its total holdings had reached 36,818 BTC, up from 32,773 BTC on October 9.

The funding strategy is just as important as the accumulation itself. Warrant exercises generated approximately $369.2 million in expected gross proceeds, while Strive priced a preferred-stock offering designed to raise around $630 million after estimated offering costs. On October 20, the company announced the closing of its upsized offering of seven million SATS preferred shares at $90 each, carrying a 15% stated annual dividend rate. That creates additional financing capacity, but it also introduces a meaningful ongoing capital cost that investors should not overlook.

Now consider the signal from CEO Matt Cole. On October 25, he posted that the “sats/$SATS perpetual swap has been activated.” The comment has fueled speculation about another Bitcoin purchase update, particularly after the latest large accumulation. However, the post itself did not confirm any new BTC acquisition. Until a company announcement or SEC filing provides the quantity, purchase price and transaction dates, another buy remains a possibility not a confirmed event.

There is also a more important metric behind the headline numbers: Bitcoin per share. Strive’s effective common shares outstanding increased from approximately 110.4 million on October 9 to 124.1 million on October 16, alongside its larger treasury. Based on those figures, BTC exposure per effective common share was roughly 29,689 sats on October 9 and 29,677 sats on October 16. In other words, the headline treasury expanded substantially, but Bitcoin exposure per share did not automatically increase. This is why share count and financing structure matter as much as total BTC held.

Strive’s stated ambition to become the second-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder by the end of 2026 sets a demanding target. Reaching it will depend on future purchases, the pace of competing treasury companies, available funding and Bitcoin’s market price. A larger treasury can strengthen the company’s position, but it does not guarantee superior shareholder returns.

My focus now is on three signals: whether a fresh SEC filing confirms additional BTC, whether the next purchase raises Bitcoin per share, and how much the company pays to finance further accumulation. I would also watch whether new capital strengthens the balance sheet or increases the burden of preferred dividends and common-share dilution.

The next announcement could reveal whether Strive’s buying pace is continuing, but the quality of that growth matters more than the headline quantity. For me, the strongest treasury strategy is not simply the one that accumulates the most Bitcoin it is the one that can expand shareholder exposure while managing financing costs and market risk. @Gate_Square
