NVIDIA remains the clearest long-term winner in this U.S. earnings season. Tesla and Meta already reported, and the market is now laser-focused on Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Apple and especially NVIDIA. I am most bullish on NVIDIA. The combination of sustained AI infrastructure demand, expanding software and networking layers, and repeated earnings beats continues to support a multi-year growth runway that looks more durable than the narrative around pure software or consumer-facing names.

Current trading levels show NVDA closed at $210.96 on October 23, 2026, down 0.59 percent on the day after opening at $210.99. The session range ran from a low of $210.18 to a high of $213.85. Volume came in at approximately 80.2 million shares, below the recent average daily volume that has hovered between 105 million and 117 million shares. Even on a quieter day the absolute dollar volume still exceeded $16.9 billion, underlining the exceptional liquidity that defines this name. Market capitalization sits near $5.09 trillion. The 52-week range stretches from $164.27 to $243.37, leaving the shares roughly 13 percent below the recent peak while still up more than 13 percent year-to-date and roughly 16 percent over the trailing twelve months. Three-year and five-year price appreciation remain in the hundreds of percent, reflecting the scale of the AI platform shift.

The latest reported quarter (second quarter of fiscal 2027, ended July 26, 2026) delivered revenue of $96.2 billion, an increase of 106 percent year-over-year and 18 percent sequentially. Data Center revenue alone reached $89.0 billion, up 117 percent from the year-ago period and representing more than 92 percent of total sales. Gross margin held at 75.0 percent. GAAP diluted earnings per share came in at $2.46 while non-GAAP EPS printed $2.22, both comfortably ahead of consensus. Operating income expanded 124 percent year-over-year to $63.7 billion. These numbers sit on top of a trailing-twelve-month revenue base of approximately $303 billion, up 83 percent, and trailing net income of roughly $193 billion. EPS on a trailing basis stands at $7.91. The company has guided third-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue to around $108 billion, plus or minus 2 percent, with gross margins expected near 74 percent. Management has also indicated a preliminary expectation of roughly 70 percent revenue growth for the following fiscal year, a rare multi-year disclosure that signals confidence in continued hyperscaler and enterprise spending.

Liquidity remains outstanding. Average daily volume in the 100-plus million share range, combined with a free float exceeding 23 billion shares and tight bid-ask spreads measured in pennies, allows large institutional flows to enter and exit without meaningful price impact on most days. Dark-pool and off-exchange activity frequently accounts for 45-50 percent of total volume, another sign of deep institutional participation. Short interest remains modest relative to float, typically in the low single-digit percentage range, so forced covering is unlikely to be a major near-term driver. Beta around 2.2 indicates higher volatility than the broader market, yet that volatility has historically been skewed to the upside during periods of positive AI news flow.

On the core question of whether AI investments can drive lasting growth, the evidence so far is affirmative. NVIDIA sits at the center of the full stack: GPU accelerators, high-speed networking, CUDA software ecosystem, and increasingly full-system solutions. Hyperscalers continue to report multi-year capital expenditure plans measured in tens of billions of dollars each. Sovereign AI initiatives and enterprise deployments are adding incremental demand layers. The shift from pure training workloads toward inference and agentic applications further expands the total addressable market rather than cannibalizing it. Gross margins in the mid-to-high 70s demonstrate pricing power and operational leverage that few hardware companies have ever sustained at this scale. Free-cash-flow generation remains robust, enabling continued investment in next-generation architectures such as the Vera Rubin platform while returning capital through dividends and buybacks.

Earnings beats do not automatically translate into higher stock prices in every instance, and that nuance is important. NVIDIA has beaten revenue and EPS estimates for many consecutive quarters, yet the shares have experienced multi-week consolidations and occasional 5-10 percent drawdowns when guidance or commentary on supply constraints, China exposure, or competitive roadmaps fell short of the most optimistic expectations. The October 2026 trading range near $211 after earlier peaks above $240 illustrates that valuation multiples compress when growth rates, even if still exceptional, begin to decelerate from triple-digit to high double-digit levels. Conversely, when guidance re-accelerates or new product cycles gain traction, the stock has historically re-rated higher within weeks. The relationship is therefore conditional: beats that confirm durable multi-year demand tend to support higher prices over time, while beats that merely meet already elevated expectations can be met with selling pressure as investors rotate or take profits. Liquidity amplifies both moves; the same deep order book that absorbs large buy programs also facilitates rapid exits.

Relative to the other names in the current spotlight, NVIDIA offers the purest exposure to the AI infrastructure build-out. Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon generate substantial AI-related revenue but also carry large legacy businesses whose growth rates are lower. Apple remains primarily a consumer hardware and services company whose AI efforts are still early in monetization. Meta has shown strong advertising leverage from AI but faces different regulatory and competitive dynamics. NVIDIA’s competitive moat in accelerated computing, software lock-in and networking continues to look wide. Analyst consensus remains Strong Buy with average price targets clustering near $329, implying roughly 56 percent upside from current levels, although individual targets span a wide range reflecting differing views on the duration of the current investment cycle.

Risks are real and should be acknowledged. Supply chain constraints, particularly around advanced memory and packaging, can limit near-term upside. Geopolitical restrictions on certain markets reduce the total addressable opportunity. Valuation remains elevated on traditional metrics even after the recent pullback, so any disappointment on growth durability could trigger multiple compression. Competition from custom silicon and alternative architectures is intensifying, although NVIDIA’s software ecosystem and full-stack approach still provide meaningful differentiation. None of these risks negate the structural trend, but they do argue for position sizing that tolerates volatility.

Overall, the combination of record absolute revenue and profit levels, sustained high-teens to mid-double-digit sequential growth in Data Center, industry-leading margins, exceptional liquidity, and a multi-year visibility window into AI infrastructure spending keeps NVIDIA at the top of my list this earnings season. The stock can and will experience sharp swings around individual reports, yet the underlying demand trajectory continues to support a constructive longer-term stance. AI investments are translating into productive, revenue-generating compute at scale, and NVIDIA remains the primary beneficiary of that conversion.$NVDA
